Amazing that any team would have interest after last season and his health history.
We need a healthy guy in that starting spot, so I think Snead is doing what he has to do....

I hope the Rams don't give him away. And who is going to replace him... Reynolds? I guess they draft another one this year as well, if that happens.

no doubt, I understand it from our side. Just can't see why another team would be interested in a player who's maybe one hit away from retirement

PT Barnum said something about suckers being born every minute?

Disagree, I think Cooks still has value, at least in the short term (this year and/or next.) The problem is his contract and cap hit. I suspect Rams will have to eat some of it to trade him. Still a trade might free up enough money to help sign someone else of higher value to the team.

I like Cooks a lot, but his size makes him a speed/downfield specialist more than an all purpose receiver, especially in circumstances including the red zone. This may be a disadvantage in a tightly defended game. Rams can also replace him with Josh Reynolds and, depending on formations, with more plays to Higbee.

Given the Rams' overall cap situation, trading Cooks makes sense.

According to Spotrac Rams loss cap in a regular trade pre June 1.

Brandin Cooks signed a 5 year, $81,000,000 contract with the Los Angeles Rams, including a $7,000,000 signing bonus, $49,459,000 guaranteed, and an average annual salary of $16,200,000. In 2020, Cooks will earn a base salary of $8,000,000 and a roster bonus of $4,000,000, while carrying a cap hit of $16,800,000 and a dead cap value of $21,800,000.

Waiting to see what shoe falls. The Rams need some kind of salary relief.
I like this guys spirit. He will be a 1,000 yard WR again. Where ?? Just know he works hard & has always produced.

Reynolds aint that bad. Seriously. He doesn't have the exact same top speed, but he's a baller.

If only lifting weights strengthened his brain. Love the person, he's nothing but a class act. But I would do all we can this off-season to move him and get out from under that contract. For the remainder of his career he'll be one hit away from another bad concussion.

And sadly, realistically, how many games into the season do you think he'll go before a head hit or head bang on the ground happens? It's SOOOOO going to happen sooner than later. :(
