Hey I'm all in for any move like this to win it all. The secondary would have 2 shut down DBs if we could pull that off. Just not sure what the Pats would want in return though.

There have been trade rumors around him for 2 years now so they've likely had conversations with teams. He's coming off an injury so IDK maybe around what Julio went for. Maybe less. Who knows. Love that Jalen is trying to get everyone to come to LA though :alol:

Reality check. Gilmore is looking for a BIG payday this year beyond his current contract. Someone will likely appease Gilmore. It won’t be the Rams.

Another thought: ball out this year next to Ramsey and get a huge payday next year. But then again, I imagine the draft picks required to get Gilmore would mean you'd want him for more than one season.

Ramsey wants to WIN. From his perspective, you never know how the cap can be manipulated. It doesn't hurt to make a call.

I like Darius Williams just fine thanks.
Yeah, I wonder how well that goes over.
So far, IIRC, Ramsey is 0-2 on recruiting after making waves about Watson, then Julio. Let's hope for the K here...

I would prefer that Ramsey would focus on his own job plus helping teammates already on the damned roster.

Let Demoff/Snead/McVay worry about bringing in vets from outside. They’ve done a great job so far.

I feel like Ramsey must not understand the cap.
Agree but I think that’s a majority of the players.

Athletes have said for decades that they stay out of each other’s pockets, and another player’s contract is not their business. Sounds good and makes sense.

However, it’s just not true in a salary cap league. Even with cap management and manipulation, every contract impacts the cap, the team and all the other players on that team.

Plus I’m 100% sure that $$$ this year is the #1 goal for Gilmore. Maintaining his $$$ value for the next big contract is #2. Playing on a winning team is a distant #3. He has already won a SB.

Ramsey is out having fun with this. I'm sure he 100% knows how the cap work and situation. He's already restructured.

People are taking this too seriously.

On a flip note, I like that he's having fun with and "recruiting" players. And let's not act like it's his fault we have no cap room. Yeah, his contract takes a large chunk but the no cap room is due to bad Gurley, Goff and Cooks contracts.

My guess when Ramsey agreed to the restructure, the conversation was something like this:

Agent: Rams want to restructure.

Ramsey: What does that mean to me?

Agent: Absolutely nothing. You get the same $ at the same time.

Ramsey: OK (if he was in a good mood).
Why are you bothering me!? (if he was in a bad mood).

Unless he and or Donald are willing to take a paycut he can recruit all he wants, but it won't mean a thing.

He does that. I don't think Hill and Williams would have played as well as they did last year without him. And he works with the WRs as well - we saw clips of him working with Van Jefferson with his routes.

Player recruiting is nothing new. Brady helped recruit Gronk and Antonio Brown to the Bucs, Hopkins recruited JJ Watt, AJ Brown lobbied for Julio. It happens and there's nothing wrong with it.
