Ramsey Punches Rapp

Just rewatched Rams-Ravens where Ramsey throws a punch at Rapps face in the huddle early in the game.

WTF was that all about?

Rap’ps a Little Bi’’””h ! He was told by RAMsey. Next time he’ll listen. In 2019 go back & look at the 9ers loss that kept The Rams out of the Playoffs.

Funny though my GF was watching & saying how much The Rams suck. I know the date well. Jan. 2nd 2022.
A month later The Rams win The SuperBowl.Taylor Rapp got hurt & there was this guy named Eric Weedle who stepped up out of nowhere.

Go back & watch the SuperBowl & see how EW was playing hurt. Pretty crazy that he was wearing the green dot.

It was the long pass to Higgins that was the foul, and I've thrown ZERO blame JR's way for that one. He got beat deep by Chase in the 1st, but the play that burns my ass the most is the first play after Kupp's go-ahead Touchdown, he goes for the selfish pick on Chase instead of letting Chase catch and tackling him IN BOUNDS for a short gain. Chase gets away for 20 AND stops the clock out of bounds. Really doesn't seem like an "elite" corner to me but I guess that's just me....

Probably just you. And saying that Ramsey shies away from tackling is the most shockingly incorrect statement I've read in a long time on this site.

I can easily find a YouTube video of Revis getting burned. I'll take Ramsey over him.

My humble opinion is Rapp hasn’t been used correctly. I think he would be an asset in the right position. But more importantly I’ve NEVER seen Ramsey shy away from tackling. He is likely the most physical corner in the game right now.

It's a whole lot of BS over nothing. The Internet has to blow everything up. Jalen's propensity to jump routes is well documented on film review. He gets baited now on it we've seen it more than once last season. He's going to have to temper his play for a bit to quit being so predictable. It's one thing if he has help, quite another if he's on his own.

The issue isn't between Jalen and Taylor it's how Jalen's tendencies are now being exploited by the better WRs. But of course, the Internet is about a minor dustup. Things like that happen in practice for godsake.

Really low on Jalen's part. to me, his play doesn't quite match his mouth

The difference between Ramsey and the other top corners is not the same as AD and the 2nd best DT. You can debate the order but he’s still top 5, which is still a luxury to have.

Now on that play, Ramsey didn’t play the best technique but I think Chase got away due to Burrows ball placement. When you’re breaking on a short route like that you’re anticipating where the QB is throwing it. Burrow through it high and outside, Ramsey broke inside of Chase. If the ball was placed where Ramsey guessed, and quite frankly where a lot of balls go on that route, I think Ramsey would have made the play.

Ramsey is an infinitely better tackler than either of those two. Ramsey is a complete CB rather than just a one trick pony.

While not perfect, I just love Ramsey’s all around play.

Ramsey played great against chase in the superbowl. We hardly heard his name. That big play in the 1st qtr is one of those things, he's a great wr. He's gonna win a play here and there.

The catch and run play on the last drive was a little disappointing from Ramsey. I think he needed to show more caution there. Play it safe and tackle him as soon as he catches the ball. The win percentage for the Rams would have been higher if he took the safer route.

Other than that I don't remember chase in the game. Ramsey was all over him like a glove on the last play of the game. As he was on Higgins before the most blatant opi in the history of the nfl that the refs somehow missed.
