Make no mistake, Reynolds is a red zone threat.

Reynolds:
8 games 5 TD
Cooks:
16 games 5 TD
Kupp:
8 games 6 TD
Woods:
16 games 6 TD

Reynolds was on pace for a 10 TD season in his first real season of action.

Sammy “Red zone Threat” Watkins had 8 TD’s for us in 15 games in 2017. His 4th year in the league.

Do the math folks.

Natson has never really impressed me. Webster is a better receiver and can return kicks while rookies Henderson or Long return the punts

When Kupp went down Reynolds stepped up big time and proved that he had a tight hold on that 4th receiver spot. The battle starts after that, because no matter how much we personally may like someone, if they aren’t named Woods, Cooks, Kupp, and Reynolds, then they haven’t done anything yet worth proving that they deserve one of those final 2 receiving spots. I like what I see from Nsimba as a whole, but none of the videos I’ve seen shows him actually doing a lot of receiving except one. So if someone has got more for me to see I’m all eyes.:bueller:

The problem with this kid IMO is he's small and slow. At 5'9" he better run faster than 4.55. Webster is strictly a Y (slot) receiver at best.

IMO if one of the UDFA WR's makes the roster it's probably Alex Bachman out of Wake Forest. He's pushing 6' in height and runs in the legit 4.4 range. He's showed good acceleration and the ability to beat press coverage. What I like about him is that he plays full speed every play, targeted or not. He also has some experience at PR and KO returns. His video shows good agility, though like most rookies he needs work on his timing and route running. He's the kind of player that can provide decent depth at the position. It looks like he can play all 3 WR positions a must IMO in a backup WR.

Snead and McVay prize athleticism and Bachman stands out among the UDFA WR's in that regard.

Everyone but espn has Webster running the 40 at 4.40. For you to to say he’s a Y slot receiver at best shows you haven’t watched any of his highlights.

You know I’ve read some of your other posts and I’ve noticed that you seem to try and stir the pot a little. Do that too many times you’ll become known as a troll, and if you become known as a troll you will get banned. I’d hate to se someone get banned over an honest opinion, which I think all this is, your honest opinion. Just next time make sure that opinion is based on some type of facts

I'm not stirring the pot neither am I trolling. Is it a law here that everyone thinks the same? Why are you so threatened, I've never directed anything at anyone, just simply voicing my opinion? Why the thinly vailed threat of a ban? Just because I have an opinion different than yours? Have I personally attacked you or anyone else as you are doing with me?

There is just one source and quickly found. His pro day results.

There are many reasons you want a taller boundary CB. A shorter CB has a smaller play radius, i.e. less room for error as he needs to be closer to the receiver. A taller CB can be a foot or a few feet away and still make plays on passes. Also smaller CB tend to get hurt playing outside, where they take a beating. Jason Verrett coming into the draft is similar height, and thought of by evaluators as being basically a slot CB as well. Because of his speed the Chargers played him outside and he's never had an injury free year. In fact he's missed as many or more games than he's actually played.

Most of your outside WR's are trending to be longer and faster with many running in the low 4.4 or faster range. This would put Webster at a huge disadvantage. Being outclassed in speed and height isn't a good thing. Nickell Roby-Coleman is about 5'7" I believe and is faster (4.47) than Troy Hill. But where do the Rams play each? Troy Hill runs about a 4.55 but he's 5'11" and they play him outside.

It's just not something I'm saying it's been part of player evaluation for a long time.

It looks like he ran at 2 pro days. At EWU he ran a 4.55, but in an article with draft blitz he says he ran a 4.4 at Washington State's pro day.

Draft scout appears to be using EWU's pro day numbers, but he did run a 4.4 40 at a pro day.

Thank you for your informative reply. I enjoyed this one. Sometimes it has seemed like you versus the army.

However you stated there is only one source and quickly found, which shows Webster running the forty in 4.55. This is espn generated, and by rule of thumb, never trust anything from espn unless you can verify it.

So I googled ‘Nsimba Webster 40 times’ and found out that there was two different pro days. One with Patriot Scouts, the other was various NFL scouts. For the Patriots Webster ran 4.4 forty, and for various NFL scouts Webster ran a 4.9 forty, and if you watch his highlights he has to be at least that fast. Look it up and let me know what you think. If you want to?

Might want to clarify the forty times to 4.44 and 4.49. I was a touch confused, haha. :D

It was actually a 4.40 and a 4.49. But something tells me you're use to being confused.
