Rams Weakest Position?

This is not a complaint thread! Just curious on what position(s) other Rams Fans think the Rams need to improve. I am by no means an expert and the only footage I see of their games are replays so I hoping to get some good input from other Rams Fans that have seen a lot more of the Rams than me and have a lot more inside information.

My very uneducated opinion is that the Rams need to get better play from their OLB’s (I think the Rams have the best front 3 and DB’s (Rams really miss Talib!) on Defense and their TE position on Offense (But, This is kind of nit-picky since I the the Rams Offense is doing pretty well right now and could very well be the best Offense in the NFL!) AND of course their placekicking position (This position will be solved as soon as Zuerlein comes back!)

Particularly one who can pressure the quarterback more consistently.

LB in general. They are such a non factor that they are the target every team picked on, aside from our battered DBs.

OLB- very weak
ILB- very surprised but in a good way.
I've feel like Littleton has been very good to great. He will only get better. Wilson average to above average. I can't wait till Barron is up to speed

LB. Edge rush mostly but also ILB.

Safety has struggled and we will lose Joyner after the season.

From the depth side of things CB lacks young legs with upside. Gonna need a big guy on the interior too when Suh leaves in FA.

Defense needs draft TLC this year.

Something is up with Dante Fowler. Very little playing time but I wonder what he could do under the right coach on the right team. Also - Shane Ray seems like a good prospect. I am hoping we pick something up to strengthen that EDGE rush!

In the preseason the thinking was that our DL and secondary were very strong. Elite, even.

So, opposing teams would have to attack our LB corps by default.

Well, now we have a banged up CB situation and our LB’s have been exposed.

Question is, how is Wade gonna deal with it? We can beat average teams still, thanks to our O, but for other top teams? Something’s gotta improve. Personnel, schemes, rotation? I dunno...

We have virtually zero pass rush from the outside. I figured it would be a problem but I’m afraid a Super Bowl is out of reach unless we’re able to generate a serious pass rush. Suh and Donald lead the team with 3 sacks each. Not good enough.

At this point I'd give Kiser some snaps at OLB in practice just to turn over another rock. I was hoping Ebukam would show a little more, but he's been average so far. Longacre doesn't look the same to me, I don't think he's 100% back from that injury. Franklin Myer just doesn't have that burst to get the corner consistently, but he does have good power and good athleticism in general. Obo is the wildcard, but I understand he's a 5th rounder with no camp reps. He should be able to start practicing soon.

If it was me, I would move Littleton outside and replace him with Kiser inside. Maybe this would improve both the run and pass defense. You could then use Kiser to blitz from the inside, he has a knack for that.

I like this idea a lot. I'd give it a try in practice for sure.
