I love Goff. I'm absolutely fine with him. You're right. He isn't as terrible as the media would have us believe. But let's not get carried away and be homers, haha. I'm a 45 year long Ram fan so far so I can say the following. Jared Goff is NOT even in the top 10 QBs this season. But I wouldn't trade him for anyone either.

Another week, another benching of a San Francisco 49ers quarterback, and another relief appearance by C.J. Beathard.
This time, though, the quarterback shown the pine was Jimmy Garoppolo, on whom the Niners bestowed a $137.5 million contractin 2018. Garoppolo was replaced Sunday at halftime, after he threw two interceptions while completing just 7 of 17 passes for 77 yards and a minuscule 15.7 passer rating, as his heavily favored team fell behind the visiting Miami Dolphins, 30-7.

If he was rushed back... wouldn’t that also imply some degree of setback, if he hadn’t played?

So... if his crappy play was related to that, he should be sore today.

Unless they mean “practice reps this week not ready”... and with his experience, I‘m not buying that.

Either way... we will get after WHOEVER they put back there!

He sucked in coverage in the first half.

It wasn't until they made him a delayed blitzer that he actually did extremely well.

He may have found a spot as a delayed blitzer.

Just don't use him in coverage where he has to cover the running back or tight end past 5 yards.

Again, I love my Rams QB. I'm just not gonna pretend he's top 10 just yet.
He's number 15 down the list in touchdowns thrown. That aint so great. He's improving every week though. I feel like by the playoffs I'll truly to be able to say that he's a top 6 QB.

Good question. I bet JG is back, again.

Maybe until halftime when he has thrown two interceptions and the Niners are down 28-0.
