We have history of coming out of the gate slow. We went oh fer in the preseason. That wouldn't bother me much, but we played poorly the previous two preseasons and come out flat in the regular season.

I'm not all that optimistic. I think it'll be close. But do we have enough offense? Will we have any offense?

It was just an opinion, but you're seriously asking "how?" when the entire second sentence of my initial reply was:
If Foles gets hurt, there is a chance this team could be the NFL's very first 0-20 team because there is no way that Keenum and Mannion combined could win a game at this point (IMO). I do not say that to be snarky...looking at the external distractions (1), the internal OL growing pains (2), the dicey HB health (3) and the results of the pre-season on top of last season's results (4), I can see a snow ball rolling and gathering steam (5) unless the team comes out and shocks the league with solutions to all those problems.

Not saying I am right (or wrong)...it is just opinion afterall...but really? Did you just not read anything beyond "historically bad"? There are 5 reasons the situation COULD spiral out of control on the Rams. This is NOT a stable franchise with great veteran leadership of winning players...that's another reason it could go south, fast. There are good players on the team, and yes, better than year's past in many spots....but there is also a very real chance for disaster if they do not play out of their minds against the Seahawks.

Just my opinion, worth nothing if you need a cup of coffee! :D

The issues that the Rams face regards to personnel, injury, and luck are ones that all of the 31 other teams face. Unless 2011 happens all over again, I don't think there's any need to be concerned yet.

Yes, going 0-4 in the preseason isn't desirable. Winning at least 1 game would be nice. But I'm not concerned yet. I'm happy Foles didn't tear his ACL in the preseason and only Gaines was lost.

I'm a fan but a realist. Rams' offense still a work in progress, Rams' defense has issues with power running and short pass plays. Wilson's mobility will let him make plays underneath. Rams will get to him some but he'll make some plays to extend drives. Rams can't win by scoring FGs and giving up TDs.

Hope I'm wrong, but I see: Seattle 24, Rams 13

Rams win big on a strip sack by Quinn and a Pick 6 by JJ along with Givens burning Sherman deep. With
Saffold at RG and Brown at LG, our line smacks Seattle in the chops and we roll. Rams 31 - 9

I voted that we'll lose. Hope I'm wrong, but a loss here wouldn't bother me much. To win 10 games we must win 3 in the division...so getting swept by the Hawks and still winning 10 games is possible.

I can't see us getting much offense going, but I can't see them either.

9-6 Seahawks win.

My heart says "Rams win a close one on some trickery a la 2014."

My head says it is going to be a beat down, and not the fun kind either. Too many question marks on the OL, defense hasn't shown it is up to speed yet (very reminiscent of last year), too many penalties, and its not like Seattle got worse this offseason.

34-10 Seahawks, with the Rams TD coming in garbage time.

Haven't seen anything this preseason or otherwise to make me believe this season is going to be any different.

Tell me, was Kate Upton giving you a back rub when you came up with this scenario :p

I'm with you snackdaddy, as much as I'd like to think the Rams can prevail, both teams have something to prove coming out of the gate. Unfortunately, I don't have as much faith in Foles ability to win with his arm (in this particular game). I think it will indeed be close, history suggests that. However, without what are probably the Rams best 3 RB's, I suspect the game will turn on a Foles interception.

We've spent a good deal of time commenting about Foles past 2 year record and the endless comparisons between his Cinderella season and 2014. The question remains as to which season was the real Foles. I think they both are. Which is another way of suggesting that we may be frustrated (at times) with Foles accuracy. It's not that he's inaccurate, it's more about a questionable ability to throw into tight windows near the goal line. It just seems to me that while he's a descent QB (with potential) and see's the field well (much better than Bradford), he "tends" to throw into spaces and let the receivers adjust to the ball. Not a bad thing, it's just his style.

Is he capable of leading this team? Absolutely. But I suspect Foles being a gunslinger of sorts, will let it fly or try to force the ball at times. Unfortunately, the WR's (other than Quick) don't really fight for the ball as aggressively as I'd prefer. If the Rams can get though the first 5 games at 2-3, I'll be satisfied and optimistic that they have a "shot" at a winning season.

When it's all said and done, unless and until this OL finds its stride-consistency and the receivers prove that they can get open consistently, this team will struggle to put up the points necessary to compliment this D.

Personally, my greatest fear is that the O will struggle early before coming together around mid season and we find ourselves saying once again, "wait until next year." Fortunately, it's just my opinion and I hope like hell I'm completely wrong.

Wow so much negativity.

Rams win 24-12 no touchdowns for the Seaducks.

I am sticking with what I said last year and that is this team is a playoff team. although they have not done anything this preseason that resembles improvement I still think the talent is there.

Aaron Donald wins NFC player of the week with a monster game. Seattle is having some struggles up front and Donald will expose that like very few in the NFL can. Rams have been playing Seattle tough for a while now. Donald becomes the difference this week.

I'm saying Rams win, simply because I will be there !!!

seriously, Been to 11 Rams games in the past 12 years...won 5 straight, lost 5 straight and won last year in Tampa, ending one streak and starting another one.

If The Mason doesn't' play, I am worried about Foles getting out of the game healthy. Benny is not a first down back

Plus we may not really have seen much of Cignetti's offense. Maybe he will surprise us with some great play calls.

Of that, I'm certain, especially against Seattle.

I still remember Ogletree failing to contain Wilson outside on a quarterback scramble.

Ogletree has not been good at containment when he sees the prize. He takes bad lines. Please Tree, contain, contain, contain.

34-10 Seahawks, with the Rams TD coming in garbage time.

The problem I have with predictions like these is that your score would be historically bad. The Seahawks haven't come close to beating the Rams at home that bad in a long long time. I can't imagine anyone thinking our O line is worse, Foles is worse, the defense in its second season is worse... and historically worse.

Vegas is at -3.5 Seahawks and you think -24?!

Do you realise we have beaten the Hawks 2 out of the last 3 at home? That the one loss required a goal line stand in the last minute of the game and it was a loss by only 5 points? That in the last win the Rams were missing CB Johnson, QB Bradford, LB Chris Long, and lost CB Jenkins for half the game? That it was LT Robinson's first start, RB Tre Mason's first start, DT Aaron Donald's first or second start, and QB Austin Davis' sixth start?

And you think we are worse now? o_O

They couldn't even win a preseason game this team is freaked.

My sources tell me that it is indeed the year of the Ram. Russell Wilson better do some push ups because he's going to have to lift himself off the turf quite a bit.
