Saw VanBrocklin, CrazyLegs, Fears, TankYounger and Dan Towler play in the Colosseum in 1951 (I think, don't remember much except the passing game was exciting, some big plays and some big sacks) . Not claiming steady fanship but met Merlin at his home in 1973? Dropped out in the late 80's-90s. Back since GSOT.
My take for 2019:
• fatal miscalculation on O-Line by Kromer/McVay, no getting around it;
• the Gurley of 2017-1818 is gone (draft a decent RB, they aren't hard to find)
•McVay, much as I admire him, was too slow to adjust in too many games this year;
• Legatron miss in Seattle a harbinger of "not our year",
• unlike in 2018, Rams do not get the injury/ball bounces/ref calls breaks
• tough, tough schedule and a tough, tough division.
• 2018 Rams got the breaks (eg, won lots of close games with late-game turnovers) and weren't quite as good as their record. 2019 Rams didn't and despite everything, are [a bit] better than their record.
• Looking ahead: without a great draft (c'mon Les) the Rams look to take a step back again with some bad contracts, cap issues and no #1 for two drafts. Don't see how we can keep all the talent we have. Hope we can keep Ramsey and Littleton. In fairness Cooks and Gurley should restructure, but not holding my breath.
