No. Of course not.I wonder if a team in the playoffs can raid an idle team's roster?
He also had plenty of leg to hit those two field goals from 40 yards out.He was one of the players I was watching very closely yesterday.
He was good from 21 and 23. Both kicks looked good and he had a good follow through.
He also booted the ball deep enough for touch backs on every one of his kicks ( I think I remember that correctly).
baseball does it a few weeks before the playoffs, so didn't knowNo. Of course not.
And I'm glad of it.

* looks at temp gauge @ 2pm, and it's the warmest it will be all day....9 degrees F.Pressure first game...no pressure yesterday...will be huge pressure on Saturday....and cold as hell, well, mid 50's
It's amazing the difference in effort on kickoffs. He did ok yesterday, because I don't remember any misses? However, I wonder if a team in the playoffs can raid an idle team's roster? (Via trade, of course)
I think practice squad players may be free agents, but not sure.I wonder if a team in the playoffs can raid an idle team's roster? (Via trade, of course)
I like that, because I hate what they do in MLB now when teams that won't make the playoffs, deal their players to playoff teams....I think practice squad players may be free agents, but not sure.
As for trades, no chance as the trade deadline was back in November
Well, the MLB trade deadline is July 31st, and then they can trade players who pass through waivers to August 31st IIRC.I like that, because I hate what they do in MLB now when teams that won't make the playoffs, deal their players to playoff teams....
I am more of a fairweather fan as far as MLB goes since the 90's strike, but it seems that whenever the time frame for trades are, losing teams admit they have no chance by trading away players that help the possible playoff teams.Well, the MLB trade deadline is July 31st, and then they can trade players who pass through waivers to August 31st IIRC.
Pretty sure that any players traded after September 1 arent eligible for the playoffs

Like the Eagles getting Ajayi from the Dolphins or the Seahawks getting Brown from the Texans?I am more of a fairweather fan as far as MLB goes since the 90's strike, but it seems that whenever the time frame for trades are, losing teams admit they have no chance by trading away players that help the possible playoff teams.
I don't like that.
I also don't like MLB Wild Card spots either, and GET OFF MY LAWN!
Yeah it irked me that the Rams didn't just line up a couple longer ones for him. I get it, since they were trying to reduce the embarrassment by scoring some TDs, but it would have been nice once you decide to kick the FG to take a couple delay of games to move it back. Media would have went nuts over it but F them.
Honestly I feel like McVay will be looking at the opponent's 40 to 20 yard line as 4 down territory as a backup plan through the playoffs for if Fickens looks shaky.
It sucks to have that question of kicker hangin over our heads when we have such a good team. It's one of those things you just know will catch up to you sooner or later. So hopefully when all is said and done Fickens will be one of those Cinderella stories, kinda like a Kurt Warner story for the kicker. I can hope, right?
he kicked at Penn State...used to the cold I hopePressure first game...no pressure yesterday...will be huge pressure on Saturday....and cold as hell, well, mid 50's
