SPECIAL TEAMS

Net Yards per Punt: 41.2 (18th).
Field Goal Conversion: 95.24% (2nd).

Opponent Net Yards per Punt: 43.2 (30th).

CONCLUSIONS

As expected...

1. Offensively the lack of a run game is killing us.
2. Defensively we are surrendering underneath too easily in the pass game.
3. Special Teams we lack a returner.

And the passing numbers don’t reflect the massive dropoff over the last 3 games.

They do though, it's just people don't realize how out of this world Stafford was playing the first 8 games. He played like shit the last few weeks, but was seriously playing at an MVP level before that. Let's hope he gets back on track.

Lemme change how I phrased that…
“Those stats are cumulative and don’t really show how shitty Stafford has been the last 3 weeks.”

Yup. He was way ahead in EPA and a few other stats.

Not now.

We can both agree on one thing, he was playing very well, and hopefully he gets back to that again. I think with more focus on the run will take pressure off him. He doesn't have to do everything himself. We aren't the Lions.

He was tearing it up. Between his turnovers and missed throws and defenses adjusting to the Rams O, it’s been bad.

Fingers crossed.

So if the Rams want to go out swinging instead of with their tails between their legs they need to make a change to remedy each conclusion. 1 Run Michel Run.l 2 Strengthen ILB/overload weak side rush 3) score NFL PSs (including their own) for a KR.

The turnover differential ain't been helping the Rams out either.

Los Angeles Rams +1 differential through 11 games. For comparison, Green Bay is +9

Imo - he has missed a lot of easy throws.Right when you want to talk crap about his poor play he is throwing a TD.

The thing that gets me is Sean Mcvay & The Rams concept.I will agree on the big plays & taking your shoot.
Lost internet & reset,so had a better rebuttal coaches & players. The bottom line right now is just win.Hope things keep improving.
Did add Stafford & O’Connell to form an opinion.

I think McVay just needs to accept that Stafford is not gonna Dan Marino in his offense. He's gonna need some balance especially when we face the better defenses. I am sure he wanted a QB who can win the game with his arm and let him show his genius and all that but the good thing is if he can keep this offense balanced with the calls 9 will likely end this season with a top 5 passer rating and we'll be in the mix for the playoffs.

At this point I will be very happy with that. Maybe next year with another camp in this offense and shit Stafford will be more prone to taking over games and hero balling us to wins but since that usually doesn't work in the playoffs maybe it doesn't matter. Maybe it's going to be a silver lining for McVay to get his teeth kicked in like he has the past few weeks because he'll be prepared for a playoff field where balance will be a requirement.

This upcoming stretch is going to tell us a lot about this team. It's about to get nasty. Hope this team has what it takes to start that stretch strong with a big win vs Arizona. We need to beat both them and SF.
