Seems like these guys are spending more time talking about the Bears,
Yes everyone pissed Fields didn't start.
As if it would have made a difference. Yes he would have made some plays,
but I can be pretty certain there would have been 2 or three picks as well.
Wrong DB's to be starting your rookie against.

Another kind of media fallout, another fight at SoFi. Video at link, won't let me copy over to here cause TMZ sucks.

FANS GET IN VIOLENT BRAWL ...In Bowels Of SoFi Stadium

TMZSports.com

Several Bears and Rams fans got into a wild brawl Sunday night -- with multiple men throwing and landing massive haymakers -- and the violence was all captured on video obtained by TMZ Sports.

The calamity all started at the beginning of L.A.'s game against Chicago ... when one witness tells us a Bears fan got into a verbal argument with several Rams fans for cheering the action on the field.

The witness says things got so aggressive in the seats, security at SoFi Stadium had to step in and request people swap chairs in order to keep the peace.

We're told after the game, though, some of the men ran into each other inside the concourses at the newly built arena -- and it didn't take long for the fists to start flying.

In video of the battle, you can see multiple scraps broke out ... including one where a man in an Akiem Hicks jersey was pummeled by punches and kicks.

In fact, the fights were so violent ... you can see blood actually ended up smeared all over the man's Hicks jersey.

We're told security was eventually able to break things up ... ultimately putting one of the combatants in handcuffs -- though it's unclear if any actual arrests were made.

Did the Grenade launcher start this one too? lol
Unfortunately looks like so/fi may have to hire some more security to monitor the children.

Kay Adams looked like someone just ran over her dog, I feel like she hates us winning.
She sure would look great in a Rams jersey. Just the jersey.

So the Bears fan got his ass beat? Great!

IMO if security has to respond to a Rams fan vs other team fan drama this should be their logic chart:

1. Is the Rams fan ridiculously out of control?

2. If "No" then remove fan of other team from stadium.

3. If "Yes" then remove fan of other team and the Rams fan from stadium.

Lastly Rams need to get a handle on this shit. The above would solve a ton of probs. Had they thrown the piece of shit VISITING fans the fuck out of the stadium they wouldn't have this on their hands.

Well, as long as they arrested the Bears fan this is a happy ending.

And i agree Psycho, TMZ is just another brick in the wall of modern trash media "news."

I don't get the stupidity involved with this Fields hype......Dalton moved the Bears down the field and only put the rookie in where it was a perfect scenario. How do those few two plays equal him being able to move his team from the 25 yard line all the way down the field?

She does, she's said on air she doesn't like what the Rams did to STL and is very vocal that she doesn't support us for it.

I have no problem with that. Mostly cause she at least said it.

It gives the media something to discuss and hype. Fields probably gets sacked 4 times and throws 3 picks if he played that game.

Oh I know, I just think at this point she either needs to get over it, or at least learn how to not be obvious with her distain.

I get it, I wouldn't be pleased of my sibling was working for a company that moved and they didn't make the cut too, but it's been 6 years, time to let it go.

It's why I love to see her say nice things about the Rams, cause I know it pains her to do so. She went from being the "hot" Kay Adams, to a stinky skank... But @Merlin loves skanks so....

Sean McVay and Matthew Stafford

Three plays. That’s all Matthew Stafford needed to justify the steep price the Rams paid to get him from the Lions this offseason. On the third play of Los Angeles’s opening drive, Sean McVay dialed up a call that only a handful of quarterbacks can execute. After a quick play-fake, Stafford rolled to his left, planted his feet, and launched the ball 53 yards to an open Van Jefferson for a score.

McVay had been waiting all offseason to call that play. But dialing up deep shots has never been a problem for the Rams coach—not even with Jared Goff under center. The benefit of having Stafford, though, became more apparent as the game progressed. Without having to worry about holding his quarterback’s hand, McVay could call plays without fear of falling behind the chains and getting stuck in obvious passing situations. Those situations always gave Goff problems; on Sunday night, they elevated Stafford. The Rams’ new signal-caller averaged 0.76 expected points added on third down with a 60 percent first-down rate, per RBSDM.com. Both of those marks would have led the NFL last season.

Stafford wasn’t just good on third downs, though. He made it look easy throughout the game, completing 20 of his 26 attempts for 321 yards and three scores in the 34-14 win. It’s fitting that Stafford’s first game came against the Bears, the team that provided the NFL with a blueprint for how to slow the Goff-led Rams late in the 2018 season. That defense was coordinated by Vic Fangio, who’s now in Denver, but Chicago still runs the same scheme. And, as it had in past meetings, the Bears defense was able to slow the Rams’ run game on first and second down. That used to be enough to derail McVay’s offense. Not anymore.

McVay was able to call more dropback passes on early downs, knowing that Stafford would, at the very least, avoid disastrous mistakes—something the previous Rams quarterback couldn’t always be counted on to do. And Stafford did much more than that. His second deep touchdown of the night came on a play we rarely saw during the Goff era in Los Angeles. On a first-and-10 early in the third quarter, the Bears were playing a variation of the Cover 6 that had given Goff issues whenever he went up against Chicago. It’s a pattern-matching coverage that adapts based on the routes run by the receivers. Goff always had trouble figuring out what exactly he was looking at. But it didn’t trouble Stafford.

Stafford wanted to hit Cooper Kupp on the deep post, but he knew he had to look off the safety in order to open up a window for the throw. By the time the ball was in the air, the pass looked like one that any NFL starter could make—but Stafford created the easy play for himself. Goff isn’t making that throw, and I’m not sure McVay would’ve trusted him enough to call the play in that situation.

I’m not ready to declare the Rams legitimate Super Bowl contenders just yet. After the departure of defensive coordinator Brandon Staley, it remains to be seen how this defense—which was fourth in DVOA last season—will fare against teams not quarterbacked by Andy Dalton. But the offseason hype surrounding the McVay-Stafford partnership appears to be warranted. And if these two keep producing like this, it might not matter whether the defense takes a step back.
Goff threw it deep plenty in ‘18 and ‘19, but he always had a looping delivery, bad pocket awareness and was a little slow to process, which led to sacks, fumbles and rushed throws. If there’s anyone who’s used to a messy pocket it’s Stafford and he’ll just drop down and go sidearm to get it off.
I’m already tired of the comparisons and the Goff bashing, he’s not horrible just not good enough.

I have a problem with her because they did the same thing to me (when I lived in LA and had season tickets) when Front-and-Reary moved them to STL. So why is she playing favorites? She would have supported them while they were in STL after doing this to LA?

Never understood that. But then again, I followed them while they were in STL, just like I do now (from Seattle while they are in LA), so I'm what you might call a "real fan".

Goff threw it deep plenty in ‘18 and ‘19,
Uh sorry man no he didn't. Goff did not throw the ball down the field at all in 2019. 2018 yes, but 2019 he was 26th in intended air yards. Week 2 in 2019 vs NO he completed a 57 yard TD to Cooks, which was the only deep TD throw of the season. He didnt throw another long TD until more than a year later, when he connected with Woods for 56 yds vs Washington last year. 2017/2018 he was great going down the field, but not at all in 2019.

And the narrative that he wasn't going downfield because we needed true deep threats was always complete BS. Woods and Kupp are both plenty fast, and good enough route runners to go down the field. Goff always chose the underneath safe option in the route concepts. Yesterday the long throws went to Van Jeff, Kupp, and Higbee for 38yrds. None of them are pure burners (although VJ did log the fastest speed in MPH at the senior bowl), it just takes a willingness and confidence to go down the field, and an ability to go through progressions properly.

Look, I'm sympathetic to the idea of "Goff bashing" and certainly the author of this piece could have written it with a different tone but we won't be able to fully discuss how this offense evolves without discussing his deficiencies.

And I think there's a middle ground here. Goff has some tools and some problems. In the best of worlds he would have eliminated his problems over time. He didn't. In fact, they stayed the same while defenses evolved to take away what he did best. That's it. He's not the league's worst QB and he's not the best. He was always middle of the pack. McVay's scheme made him look better till D's took away what worked and when McVay wanted to evolve, Goff didn't have the toolset to do it. There's no boogyman. There's no, it's this guys problem or that guys problem. There's just facts that are messy that don't neatly fit into "Goff bashing" or "Crazy McVay" narratives.

And Stafford is not the second coming of Christ... yet.

This is a damn good summary of what I feel is the most accurate account of history. As I said in another thread, I wish Goff the best.

While hoping Stafford is indeed the second coming :)

If memory serves, although she is from Chicago, she had relatives working at the Ed in St. Louis who were affected by the relocation of the team. Not defending her, just that's why I remember her saying that she had something against the Rams in their last Super Bowl run...

And then they’d all be saying,” How can the Bears be dumb enough to play a rookie QB against a defense that has Aaron Donald and Jalen Ramsey on it?”
