Seriously!Love to see the Rams address positions of need before the draft with the signings of Landman and Witherspoon.
WR, CB, ILB, IDL, IOL
I still think the CB position can use some upgrading, and TE needs help.

We still need an east-west type of guy that can chase down the Saquon speed backs and at least shove them out of bounds.Looks like a solid North-South tackler.
I think it depends on the following:If the Rams believe he is absolutely the best MLB in this draft, they should pick him if he’s there at #26.
…unless they can say the same about another player at another position, like CB or TE.
I listened to a draft show that talked about how hard it is for young linebackers and how hitting on them is a crapshoot. Made me a little reserved. If Campbell were to be there at #26, I think there is a fair chance they draft him. What would this defense look like with a 3 down dominate MLB? I'm not saying I'm in favor of it, but, there is no denying the talent he has.
Bret StuterWell, with the Reeder / Rozeboom era over, and the Speights / Landshark era starting... here's hoping we can stop the bleeding in the linebacker department.
FYI this guy isn't as high on Landshark as we are:

Rams finally sign a linebacker (and it's the worst one imaginable)
The Los Angeles Rams' defense was not strong at the inside linebacker position. Midway through the season, starting veteran ILB Troy Reeder fell to injury, forcramblinfan.com
edit: this may be a bit unfair, as I tend to think his '23 season was more indicative of what he'll do here than his '24 season.
I’m gonna call him “The Land Guardian, Guardian of the Land, Poseidon Quivers Before Him!”
(If anyone’s confused, look up “I am the Sand Guardian” on YouTube, because unfortunately, my phone’s being an ass and not letting me copy/paste the link.)
It came close to ruining our season until Reeder got hurt and they were forced to put in Speights who was 1000 times better than Reeder and that is not saying much.I can honestly say that this season turned out so much better than I thought it would after trading Jones. I guess one day we'll know why, but purposely going into a season with rozenboom and reeder as your starting ILBs I honestly thought would ruin our season.
It didn't.
But I'm glad we've begun to move on
Anyway... getting Landaman .. even though he started in Atlanta.. doesn't mean he's destined to remain the starter here. We lost 3 of our 5 ILBs... signing Landaman gives us 3... we need 2 more... This signing doesn't take drafting an ILB off the table at all
I don't think so but Lake will be the green dot for as long as he is a starter on defense so shouldn't have to worry about it for a few years. Are Landman or Speights green dot material? You know someone who stays on the field all the time?
Safety could potentially be an early pick. I keep bringing up Emonwori, but a few rounds parer are a very good PSU safety in the draft. Kevin Winston Jr has a third round projection and has played a similar role as the Star position that Lake plays.I don't think so but Lake will be the green dot for as long as he is a starter on defense so shouldn't have to worry about it for a few years.
edit: for one more year at least hehe. Forgot Lake's contract has one more year. Next offseason will be an interesting one with some contracts.
We need a difference maker in the secondary, would love for it to be a corner but not gonna cry if it's from safety.Safety could potentially be an early pick. I disagree. Lake fills a difficult role. Even Ramsey’s seemed like less of himself playing in the Star position. It’s not a role that a team can just easily plug a player into. I think Emenwori would be perfect for that position, but would the Rams draft a safety that early? We need a difference maker in the secondary, would love for it to be a corner but not gonna cry if it's from safety.
We can parse Williams vs Spoon or Lake being a chess piece but the honest answers is they're all just some flavor of a JAG at this stage.
I like Lake - he's a useful guy, works hard - but I think you can easily upgrade his spot though and that Emenwori kid (who I haven't really looked at) would be as good as anyone I guess.I disagree. Maybe in a draft that has few stars they would, if he was on the board until 26. I would think at that point he’d be BPA
He’s supposedly got a high football IQ and is a physical freak.I like Lake - he's a useful guy, works hard - but I think you can easily upgrade his spot though and that Emenwori kid (who I haven't really looked at) would be as good as anyone I guess.
