Spotrac has our top 51 plus rookie pool with us at $2.2 million. That doesn't account for Sullivan or NRC. You have to figure when we go to accounting for the full 53 man roster another $1.8 million will be added leaving us $400k right now (vet minimum is $540k and going to the 53 will add 2 of those). So chances are a cut, or trade, is coming.
Oh cr@p!

LOL. You damned skippy he does.
I absolutely love what we are doing
in FA. A lot of low key signings that are
really going to improve quality of depth
and specialists like Coleman.
Bet we do a lot of moving around in the draft,
In McSnead we trust.

I have to say I'm in a totally different boat of thinking.

I'm willing to put most of my chips on the table that with the new acquisitions of... Kayvon Webster and now the scrappy little smurf Nickell Robey-Coleman combined with the unusual deep/depth at the cornerback position in the 2017 Draft, the Rams will probably be drafting OFFENSE at #37.

This is not a guarantee of course because their draft team (final stacked board) might be head over heals for an edge rusher LB/DE or safety that falls to them #37.

As of today, I'm believing offense TE/OL/WR will be the selection at #37.

Why doesn't anyone say RB ???

Plus we're is Robey from ?? My guess is he is a Florida kid ?? Kiffam Senior helped recruit him. He is like a poor mans edition of Adore Jackson with NFL experience.

Another Nickle I thought we had a half dozen already & only two outside corners?

This UDFA ex Bill CB Nickell Robey-Coleman combine 40 time was 4.53 sec. When he came out early in 2013 these are some of the positives documented on NRC:
Extremely fluid athlete. Smooth in turning his hips. Very light, quick feet. Agile. Reads the quarterback well and has quick reactions to receiver's movements. More physical than you'd expect at his size. Aggressive in the run game. Good ball skills.

when you compare NRC with LJ combine you can see some differences. NRC is faster in the 40, 3 cone & 20 yd shuttle. NRC's 3 cone time is something to pause at.:bow:The only stats that LJ is much better in is the bench. The Broad Jump was just about the same. NRC signing fly's in the face on size matters in the NFL.

As I think on this new defensive signing it sure would appear that this new Nickle is the type of DB they want in this position. Meaning that previous Gregg Nickels did not meet Wade's demands or likens. Lamarcus Joyner has been the Rams starter @ Nickel post since 2014. When LJ was unable to play this Nickle position either because of injury or he was forced to play on the outside it was EJ Gaines who played Nickel in 2014 for 3 games & last season it was Blake Countess who was the primary Nickle reserve & started 2 games. So we know Wade has studied & analyzed the film on all the signed Ram possible Nickles & felt this signing was needed.

In 2016 Rookie Blake Countess, when he got a chance sure looked like he had been there all season. Countess had 12 tackles & a sack in just those two games as LJ's replacement. BC also played on most of the ST's. Wade might also be looking @ getting BC a try @ FS in TC too along with LJ. The thing that Wade is sure to like about BC is he can play both outside corner posts, the Nickle & Dime special posts & both safety post wrapped up in one small package. As a probable reserve that would put BC several legs up on most of the competition @ DB. I am also sure Snead knows that BC played the final 10 games @ Auburn @ FS. BC time int he 40 was faster than NRC, LJ & EJ's...4.48 sec. BC bench was seriously much better also than the others having 21 reps. BC 3 cone drill was also very good @ 6.85 sec. The 1.46 in the 10 yd dash says something too.

Personally I'm hoping for a BIG Tru Trade just before the Draft!! We'll get picks and free-up $$$$$!!(y);):D

Yep, 51.

But a reasonably priced 5 year extension would be even better, huh?

We can only hope for one or the other.
