It makes little if any difference at this point. Honestly it wasn’t fun watching Stafford get thrashed behind that garbage injury riddled line and zero running game. Hopefully this is a reality check to coach to fix what is wrong and missing. No more bs draft picks. No run game no play action no execution=a beat up damged quarterback. The Atwell pick reminds me of the Trung Canidate pick under Martz. Almost sorta cocky and a throw away. Its gonna be very pivotal offseason.
Yes I know, you are right but its frustrating. My NFL season is basically over. Guess I will tune into College Basketball.

Stafford may come back but how much time does he have left? My best guess would be 1 more year.

My biggest fear with the Goff/Stafford trade was injury. If Stafford would have gotten injured in his 1st season, I would not have been happy. He won the super bowl, however, so all is good with me and the football gods.

he will be back next year.... if you have been reading these stuff basically they had to talk him out of playing now.

Yeah - good luck.

If The Rams can’t run on the Hags I’ll be disappointed because of how they lost last week.

K. Williams knocked a OLB on his butt during pass pro. He might be The Rams RB of the future? Then again whatever happened with Cam Akers ?
lol......

I was not seriously thinking we were going on a productive run.

Can we not still love loyal enthusiasm?

I got a revelation for you guys. There is no team in the NFL that could have survived this many injuries to starters. Go ahead and name one team with enough depth to survive all these injuries. Yet you blame Snead? Dudes, get a grip. Now we get to look at players that rarely get snaps and see who can play and who can't.

Time to shut Ramsey down as well. Play Rochell and Durant as your boundary CBs. Shut down Scott and play Lake and Yeast to see if they can play. In other words, nothing shows where improvement is needed like actual gameplay.

Most of all McVay should be looking for a new DC. McVay talks about how mediocrity isn't good enough....that should apply to his staff. Raheem has done less with more. McVay knows it and is why he shamelessly promoted Morris as a HC candidate. I'm sure he's getting heat from Snead and Kroenke. HIs playing guys out of position and not to their strengths is testimony to his poor judgment and talent evaluation. Staley for all his faults did more with less. Sean needs to tell Morris to can his base prevent and be more aggressive for as long as he's with the Rams or he won't be much longer.

McVay needs to use the rest of this season as an extended preseason for setting up next year's team. They found a future starter in Jackson, who is everything they hoped Arcuri would be but so far isn't. They have a decent center in Shelton, the question is whether Noteboom can return to form after an Achilles tear. Some players can't. Assuming he can return to form then they have the makings of a decent OL with Noteboom, Jackson, Shelton, and Bruss. Aboushi isn't a good OG but could be a serviceable backup option. Thomas could be a diamond in the rough so they should play him at LG or as a swing OT for the rest of the year. They could have a decent backup center in Anchrum as well next year. The cupboard isn't exactly bereft of talent.

Look around the league. Few teams have solid depth on their OL. Once the key possible starters heal the Rams do in fact have the makings of a decent starting group next year.

Of the WRs Skowronek is simply a short zone possession receiver. Harris and Powell have potential they simply need experience and work. They need to throw Tutu into the deep end of the pool and see if he can swim. Is Tutu a mirage or for real? Now is the time to find out. Sit Jefferson and let him continue to heal. Go with Skowronek, Powell, Tutu and Harris as the core WRs. Work McCutcheon in after he heals.

They need to take a long look at Hardy because after this season they have a decision to make about Leonard Floyd as his cap hit jumps from $8M to $22M next year. IMO he's getting a bad rap this year because of the stupid base prevent scheme that Morris plays. When AD doesn't have time to get to the QB then you know the fucking D scheme is shit and Floyd isn't going to have time as well.

IMO 2023 preseason starts now.

The entire team needs to be ready to hit the ground running day 1 of next season. I hope to see guys refreshed and pissed off. Would be nice if McVay would try to implement more than just the same 6 plays every game too.

I’m totally fine with this. Our offensive line is beyond decimated and there is no point in putting him out there and risking a career-ender for a lost season. Let him rest up for next year.

I totally understand.. it’s depressing. Myself my brother and my 2 sons are die hard as they come but we have to accept this for what it is. I myself have not missed a game since 1998… not one game.. parts of games because of blow out losses or whatnot but not one, that’s pretty sick huh?you dont have to answer. Considering the expectations to these results is pretty freaking shocking and disappointing to say the least. Keep the faith and look forward to next year. Peace.

Hate to say it but I definitely could see Stafford retiring. Multiple concussions are not something to take lightly. I hope he doesn’t end it with this year but really he already accomplished what he came here to do.

You pick a team to follow. It may be the local team or another may catch your eye. The longer you watch them, the more attached you get. Until one day you realize you've been watching them most of your life. When they are good it's a joy. When they suck it's still good, because it's your team. Some kid might get into the game and become a player. Something you've never seen before might happen. If you stop watching them, all the previous time seems a waste. So don't waste your time not watching them. :)

Are we all 100% certain he is returning next year?

I for one am not. Mrs. Stafford has been very vocal on this subject. She is completely fine with him not playing anymore. In my house that is code for do not do that.
Would not surprise me to see Donald and Stafford retire in the off season. It's a long fall for our team.

But they might feel like quitters. Can't take a down year. Shoulda retired after the SB win. Bad way to go out. Etc.

They might retire (or one of them might). But I think there's as much a chance they don't. Maybe more.

If I’m Stafford, I would take a wait and see approach. If the Rams acquire certain players, then I’m back. But if we draft another gadget player or small school WR….bye Felicia

Stafford would really screw us if he did that. He needs to make a decision so we can structure our offseason around having him next year or not having him next year.
