Love this pick. Wingate is close to Charlotte , NC. About an hour from my house.
Has to the first or one of very few players ever drafted from Wingate.

Damn what a leg!! Also has versatility as a kickoff specialist.
If he can be consistent , we may have stole a very good player.

This guy’s a punter? Holy crap. Can he stay on the field and rush the passer?

Enjoyed the posted vids. He was crushing most of those kicks. This looks like a great pick to fill an obvious need.

He’s not dealt with NFL pressure and they say he needs to speed up his cadence…. but dude has a strong leg.

This video is interesting because he booms some punts, but it also shows him kicking Field Goals and kickoffs in games.

On a few of the punts the announcers are like “Wow”.

That second video in OP I really liked the movement those balls have too. He spins those really good and still gets 5 second hang time. Seems to have a really nice touch kick too for pinning deep. Hopefully the bright lights aren't too much for him because he certainly has the talent.

I believe one of the reasons the Rams drafted him was for his ability to kickoff especially if the kicker that makes the Rams is Christopher Dunn, who did not kickoff in college. Evans will be the Rams punter for the next 10 years if not more, love this kid, how he goes about his business plus the other intangibles.

He can boom it and if called upon kick FG's too a well rounded punter and I really don't think the smaller school will effect him IMHO.

BTW - Les Snead did something like this Draft Day 1(2) & 3rd since he became The Rams GM.

Who gets a Draft Pick for a Punter anyway. Has that ever happened in The NFL?

Good pick. Let's just hope we don't need him very often. Punter on the field equals failure.

Seriously E Squared was also drafted for his ability to kick off too. One of the Ram kickers they signed Christopher Dunn is an accurate kicker, but did not kick off well, that is where Evans becomes more then just a punter.

I guess you saw the video that tells us all about it. I guess tackling on kickoffs makes a difference as well. The small guy will have to tackle. The big E-squared as you call him can tackle, but won’t have to.
