Perfect RB for the DUO/Wide Zone system. Small, compact, fast, YAC, tough runner. He can pick up the blitz too.

I'd just rather a more durable running back with pass-catching ability and less sheer mileage later on (whether that's Schrader, Estime, Jaylen Wright, or Ray Davis, I'm not entirely sure). The running backs I've listened provide that. Other than Wright, they're not the athlete Corum is and none are certainly the producer Corum is, I will freely admit that. I just question the risk of the pick with a Day 2 selection when we clearly need a corner and a wide receiver.

Neither of those positions is more needed than RB2. Corum is not going to be taking the full load and neither will Williams. But, if either has to miss time, there shouldn’t be much drop off to the other guy. He didn’t catch many passes but he wasn’t ask to.

Because the dropoff when Kyren is off the field is too significant.
Because you can run the same offense.
Because #2 doesn’t mean “backup.”

I worry about a lot of things with Corum. Mileage, injury history, size, etc. I don't know about this pick. The more I look it up, the more concerned I am. His character is impeccable, but I question this selection, especially with a third-round pick.

Won’t matter as much since he’s not going to be the main running back. This is good for our offense.

Four of our current wideouts are free agents after this year (Atwell, Skowronek, Robinson, and Johnson), Kupp has legit concerns about a potential decline, and Nacua has injury concerns from college. Wide receiver may not be a need right now, but for the future, and with the receivers on the board, a receiver would've worked.

There's no guarantee that Tre'Davious White and Darious Williams are the same players they were in the past; White has had numerous injuries, and D-Will is thirty-one. Durant is probably the only cornerback I actually trust; THT is unproven, and Kendrick is unreliable. A cornerback would help.

And Gibbs was a first rounder.
The argument is that you’re drafting another starting-level RB.
Remember.. Kyren’s been hurt.. and the Rams already had a 2nd round RB on the roster.
And KC had a first rounder on the roster.
I would say Kyren’s health is the biggest driver, here.

I wasn’t saying he was. I was pointing out that spending a premium pick on a position like Runningback is exactly what Detroit did. The had a RB that had 21 TDs and still drafted another one. After Rams started running the ball, they were successful. Now if Kyren is tired or banged up, the offense stays EXACTLY the same. It’s a very smart pick.
