No doubt. I wonder what the offense ppg would be this year minus the turnovers. Clean it up!

If the defense plays the way it has all season.. JARED FREAKING GOFF will be the secret sauce to winning out.

I'm not on board with these threads about secret sauces and possibly winning out going 12-4.

JUST BEAT THE FREAKING CARDINALS TOMORROW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Recently watched the highlights of Goff destroying the Vikes in 2018 on TNF with 465 yards and 5 TD’s.

Biggest difference I noticed: Goff had ALL DAY to throw. Man, the OL was good that year. Young Whit, Saffold as road grader, Havenstein at his best, Sullivan with the vet savvy at C.

In the future, if the Rams are gonna win a SB with Goff, they’re gonna have to invest major $ in the OL.

This year? Im hoping the Rams can do well in these last 5 games since none of the remaining teams has an elite pass rush. And for a deep playoff run, sure would help to get Whit back.

I completely agree. The OL is imo the majority of the problem. Goff has no play action bc the run game can't run on better defenses. Goff has 2 seconds to throw back in 17 & 18 he had over 2.5 seconds. He had a bigger pocket. With a run game combined with a longer time to throw Goff is more accurate and the receivers have that extra time to get open.

No secret sauce for the J-E-T-S. 2 turnovers (including the blocked punt) for the Rams to O for NYJ ruined their recipe for success.

Unfortunately it takes more than the QB to win a game.

It takes offense, defense and special teams.

It also takes coaching and sometimes overcoming the refs.

It takes staying healthy as well.

Jeff Hostetler, Brad Johnson and Trent Dilfer have all won Super Bowls.

Hall of Famers Dan Marino, Jim Kelly, Warren Moon and Dan Fouts never won a Super Bowl.

As we saw last week we don’t exactly
Have the ‘85 Bears defense.

Playing Jeff Fisher ball is not an option vs every team
+1

I told you guys the Jets could stop the run. Fortunately for us there are two teams left on the schedule who cannot stop the run. So I think the Rams will recover although I am a bit concerned.

If there's a secret sauce for us it's definitely the run game. McVay is no different than Shanny or any other WCO mind in that regard. If they can run the ball you're up shit creek on defense.

Also of note is that teams of late have been doing what the 9ers defense does which is shift around up front and confuse the o linemen. The Pats were doing that on both sides of their line with both jumping inside right before the snap.

So I think the Rams have been having comms issues and assignment breakdowns. Probably relates to not having Whit out there helping them handle shit. And that isn't the worst thing to have happen btw as it means your linemen can actually start not getting beat by not fucking up their assignments.

Biggest prob right now for us IMO is getting Akers back. The offense was responding to him man. So hope Hendy is ready to show people what he can do.
