In general I think there have been fewer games that seem like the refs are purposely deciding the winner. For the Rams, the last one I recall that had several bad calls all game long was Pittsburgh last year. This year we got jobbed in Buffalo but that was mainly one call. Maybe the NFL decided to clean things up a bit. For a few years the lopsided officiating seemed blatant.

I would respectfully like to submit the Rams/Jets game this year for your review.

Yes, we played like crap. BUT, multiple big plays were made by the Jets at KEY times with blatant holding calls, while the Rams big plays were called back for ticky-tack holding calls that even McVay (who usually keeps quiet about these things) actually pointed out as particularly peculiar.

Don't know if the "fix" was in, but maybe a comment about making the game more interesting (17 point favorites remember?), went overboard???

Could be. I did not watch much of it. I could t see it live and couldn’t get motivated to watch on GamePass

Issue is that being a great coordinator doesn't always translate to being a great HC. So I understand why the NFL might prefer a guy like Eberflus who has a good amount of success and a lot of seasoning. Plus, none of us have any real insight on how these guys are as leaders and what sort of connections they have around the NFL.

This happens SO MUCH. I am actually surprised the leadership transition isn‘t a little easier to sort in the interview process.
