There's been a lot of smoke that McVay isn't happy with what he has in Mannion. But we've had bigger priorities to this point. As for Jones, he has good and bad tape in REAL games. He's shown himself to be a competent enough backup to handle a few games if needed.

If there was enough smoke he wasn’t happy, there would be smoke that we are looking. And there isn’t.

Mannion did nothing in week 17 nor in the preseason to win anyone ever. But somehow McSneed is sticking with him.

I guess we'll find out. I can only hope that Goff stays healthy if they do.

You practice your onside kick play to see if it will be effective when unexpected. Why do you think they were going for two earlier in the game? These games don't matter. You think McVay gives a freak about what Payton is doing? If he was doing it to be a dick, he's really only having that effect on the people who care about this meaningless game. I'm certainly not one of them. Based on how McVay is treating this game, he ain't one of them either.
Were you even watching? He was clearly irritated by it and was essentially gesturing like, “WTF you DICK?” Then he stood there and glared at him followed by shaking his head and smiling. Anyone watching could tell he was thinking something along the lines of “fucking asshole”.

I don’t have a problem with him going for it on 4th downs or going for two. He has been doing it all preseason and they are actual typical plays. Trying to rush in your players with 12 seconds and up by 15 for an onside kick is nothing you are EVER going to try again in an NFL game. He was absolutely being a dick or thought he was being cute while risking injury to players as he’s done before in other ways. Yep. He’s a baby door.

You are the only one I’ve seen defending that call.

Ficken hasn't really gotten a break today. Crappy blocking and high snaps mean no time to really drill it.

I think these performances really reinforce that this team in all phases is going to be very sensitive to injury. I think our starters will be devastating, but if we are decimated by injury, this isn't a team that's going to just keep on truckin

I agree to a point. However Fikken just doesn't have the right form to really drive and kick a football correctly. It almost looks like a goalie punt or drop kick if you will in soccer.

I like that he worked to learn how to punt and the Rams kept him around to learn and grow as a player.

I'm ABSOLUTELY against distracted driving. Doesn't matter if it's chemical influence, texting, eating, drinking, GPS/Radio adjusting, etc.

That said..."intexticating"???

Watching our backups helps me to appreciate our starters, especially the WRs.

I could tell last year that Kupp was gonna be a monster and wasn't just a rookie.

Our starting trio of Cooks, Woods and Kupp with Gurley and Goff in the backfield is just scary good.

The old throw an interception and recover the fumble trick!
