I hope JerruhJones does the right thing and directs all proceeds from the game to the relief fund.
If a Texans home game is at Dallas the Texans get the revenue as if it was in Houston.

NFL cancels Texans-Cowboys game
Posted by Michael David Smith on August 30, 2017

The Texans and Cowboys won’t play in Dallas tomorrow night after all.

Instead, the game has been canceled. The reason is apparently to allow the Texans to travel home, as parts of Houston are starting to clear after the devastation of Hurricane Harvey.

That’s a surprising decision because the NFL had specifically stated that the game would go on, in Dallas, where the Texans have been practicing all week after they were displaced by Hurricane Harvey. The NFL even said NFL Network would televise the game to help draw attention to hurricane relief efforts.

Now the league is backing off that. The Cowboys and Texans will surely be relieved not to have to go through with it, as no team wants to play its fourth preseason game. But the league has some explaining to do about why it waited until the day before the game to make this decision.

That's a weird decision at this point. Were they getting a lot of backlash for deciding to play? Feel bad for depth and fringe players on both teams though. They are losing out on one of the very few chances any of them will ever have at showcasing their abilities in hopes of sticking on with another team if/when they get cut.

Still shows Cowboys/Texans in Direct TV Channel guide.
I already get Giants/Patriots locally, hopefully that doesn't get the national gig.

Personally I love that the game is cancelled and the Texans are coming back this week. It's a sign the roads are starting to open.

Game 4 of the preseason... is there a more worthless thing to see on TV than two squads of guys who are getting cut as soon as the game ends?

Not like it matters. Those who want to watch it will be streaming it illegally anyway.

Not me though. I have better things to do tbh. I'll be tuned in to game one when the games count, this preseason BS can kiss my posterior.

I'm enjoying the latest WoW patch personally. Well, maybe "slogging through it" is more accurate, but it's still far preferable to what the Rams are going to put on TV in game 4.

Speaking of which, thanks to those that suggested sportsarefree.xyz. That is by far the best stream I have ever had the pleasure of watching a game on whether it be directv, kodi, or directly from nfl themselves. HD quality and did not have the feed drop a single time. The week before I watched on game pass and I had to reload the feed at least a dozen times and missed the last two minutes of the game because they shut it off too early. I canceled my pass. Not paying the NFL money to provide shitty, unreliable service.
