Yeah, I don't see them paying Stafford more and keeping Alaric and Hoecht.Hoecht is a guy we might be able to let walk given the depth in this draft class at DE/DL.
I really wonder if we're gonna be able to keep Alaric. I think he's gonna get a bag in FA.Yeah, I don't see them paying Stafford more and keeping Alaric and Hoecht.
I think you’re looking at it’s either Stafford or Alaric.
They should be slapping the tag on AJ but can’t until Staff is resolved
Not sure I understand.Just shows how SILLY The Rams were !! They have to know Alaric was The Player The Rams needed to sign to a Team Friendly contract!!!
Sort of really pisses ME off !!!
How do you sign Noteboom & Brian Allen to extensions, when you have a player like Alaric Jackson who EARNED everything he got.
Maybe he wasn’t the best WE player ? He left one game for family reason ,then he was suspended for those 2 games. The Rams still had Noteboom though who is getting PAID starter money.
He’s suppose to have at least held up.
Last year with Dotson. WTF ? When you think outside the box with that kind of CAP HIT you better be right.
Johan Jackson was coming off an injury. Was he more important than Alaric ?? Then to move Steve Avila from LG ? They should have had Noteboom working with him.Solidifying the Left Side(blindside) .
This 2024 season is not over & The Rams are going to PAY Big TIME for not taking care of it.
Not sure I understand.
He was an RFA and they gave him a 2nd round tender.
He wasn’t signing any team friendly deal with the opportunity to hit free agency
He didn’t need to be re-signed, he was under contract. Why The Heck would you not workout a multi year contract ?
What’s the difference in Cap Space.
We’ll see what happens, but maybe The Rams let him walk & get a nice Draft Comp pick ??
IMO he should have been resigned. Now with this Offensive Line coaching staff going into its 3rd season they might think they can coach players up ?
Well if you know his value you can still sign him to a multi year deal.He didn’t need to be re-signed, he was under contract.
Jackson was never going to sign a cheap deal with UFA coming up and holding down the OLT spot. He was able to speak to other teams and get a sense of his value.
I don’t know why you aren’t comprehending this.
Again, I dont know why you are not understanding. I'm sure if they offered him a 5 year, 100 mill contract (like I am expecting he'll get this year) Jackson would have signed it. Other than that, Jackson wasnt signing a "team friendly" deal being he is a UFA this off seasonWell if you know his value you can still sign him to a multi year deal.

There is no back and forth, you arent understanding. He was under contract. He wasnt signing a "team friendly" deal when he was becoming a UFA. I hope you understand that a player needs to agree to contract terms, and that its not just the team's decision.I’ll disagree!!! Then again you’re saying his asking for a 5 year contract?? Get REAL
We can do this back & forth.I’ll continue to see it in a different light.
LMAO - 5 year contract?? Ok -
At least The Rams & Mcvay paid that franchise tag forward w/ Tru Johnson for 2 years in a row.The last season I believe was $20 million??

And yes, I would expect him to sign a 5 year deal as a UFA (unless he gets the franchise tag)
