I absolutely hated that pick.

A backup fullback in the second round? WTH!!

I also hated two tight ends drafted right around then too.
Still contend that had Linehan not abused him in pre-season that year when he blew out both shoulders, he would have been a much better player. Still had a decent NFL career but no doubt was not 2nd round worthy

Was wrong about Jason Smith, Adam Carriker and Tavon Austin. Really liked all of them a lot in the lead up to drafting them. Yeah, I’m an idiot lol.

Still pissed about taking Brian Leonard and Donnie Avery in round 2 in 07 & 08. Coulda had Ryan Kalil and Desean Jackson!

Steven Jackson. I thought he wasn't a need.

And many more. Its a crap shoot.

2007 Keith Jackson small fat Dude at
Chris Long.

His footwork was so awful coming out of Virginia that I couldn't see him even with that motor making plays.

Granted, even he admitted after his first season that his footwork was terrible, but he improved way more than I thought.

I was pissed at the one as well.

I’m always about trading back. Arthur blank one and Matt Ryan huge, but was not willing to give up anything for the pick.

The Rams should have forced the issue !!

They fucked it up with Vick !! Should have made them pay , or get a All Pro QB !

Where The Rams fucked up was they got rid of the real FB who went to the Giants & won a Super Bowl.

I had a couple big bets on the first game & Super Bowl.

There was no way of getting the Future bet back , but first game at home against Baltimore I kept . Warner played well in his last preseason game. He was a good game manager. The defense was good & the home crowd.

The Rams team was pretty good all around though . Freaking Trent Green was 8 for 8 when he got cheap shoted by the dirties player in the NFL Rodney Harrison
I still believe we would have won the superbowl with Trent Green. The offense looked amazing in pre season. Warner just brought us to a different level.

I so wanted them to get ahead of the 49ers and draft Pat Willis that year they took Adam Carriker.

This is one for me too. I saw an interview just before the draft and thought "this guy is a moron" and....................I was right.

Fisher had Silverman in the Draft room . He came out & said The Rams are not trading out of the pick !! What a joke !!

Les Snead was always so good at getting value. Buffalo gave up a 2015 1st rd pick to get Sammy Watkins.

Brian Leonard....I so wanted him to work out because he seemed like a good guy (he was), but he was WAY too small for a Full Back. I knew it, but hoped against hope...

He wasn’t a full back to be fair he should have been a running back ... but linehan ruined him

GRob was the biggest one for me. He had the athletic traits of some of the all time greats and was just a pure bully in the SEC, thought there was no way a guy like that couldn't pull it together in pass protection. I couldn't have been more wrong.

I guess of guys that I didn't think much of who surprised me, I thought the John Johnson pick was just a throwaway pick for special teams, I severely underestimated Wade Phillips' eye for talent.

Rb Gaston Green and wr Aaron Cox of the 1st round of the 1988 draft.... I thought they were going to be studs. Lol missed by a mile. Because I didn't know much about Flipper Anderson or Issac Bruce when they were drafted.. so i discounted them. but both became my favorite players of they're time.

Go Rams........ ;)

I see a lot of people hating the GRob pick. I actually thought he'd develop coming from Auburn. Was wrong on that one.

The pick I absolutely hated, the one that literally makes me sick thinking about how we wasted another #2 overall pick......Jason fucking Smith. That straight garbage piece of shit. Let's take a TE that has only played OL for two years and make him the #2 overall pick!! From a spread system!!

Yea I'm still not over it obviously..I wish I was wrong on that one .

I was fully on board with Chris Givens. After his first season I was even more all about him.

Oops.

  1. Tavon Austin. I thought he would dominate like Faulk in space.
  2. I did not like GRob. I was taking Jake Mathews if we went OL, but most excited about Sammy Watkins that year.
  3. And while I can’t say I thought he’d be a bust, and... I might have put on a good game face here on ROD... but... I was not a fan of the Todd Gurley pick. Felt INSANELY risky to me.
