not even a week after the disaster that was on the field this past Sunday

heck of a time to announce this

but thinking a return trip to the UK wont be a bad thing...see some old friends that we met last time (2012) and see the sights we didnt see then...Like a Rams win maybe !!!

I may have to go to this. Love London, and my wife and I have wanted to fly into London, drive up to Scotland and then fly back to Boston. This would be a great excuse, and good time of year to see the moors.

Only downside to the Rams playing in London is we have to put up with jocks and northerners polluting the capital (see Scots and Simmers posts above). Not good.

I'll definitely do my best to see this one! Last time the Rams played in London, my daughter was due - this time there's no chance of that!

Will try and catch up with you guys :)

The game isn't until next year she has time to ruin your chance to see the Rams again

And here was me going to suggest a UK ROD crew pint or 12.

You can consider yourself uninvited, sir.

Ok that weekend is marked in the calendar, it will be nice to only cross 26 miles of water instead of 2600. And from my past experience I will remember to be in London on Saturday morning to see all the activities prior to the actual game (still kicking myself that I missed Torry and Marshall).

BTW I don't want to start anything as I don't have a preference, but if a team moved to a new city wouldn't it be extremely weird to have one of its home games out of the country? (mods feel free to delete if this crossed a line)

Not confirmed...but I heard that if the Rams were still in St. Louis they must play all home games in the dome according to their lease. I guess they could make the Rams a visitor for the game though.

I actually think this makes it much more likely that there's at least another season in St Louis. They just wouldn't sell a 7 game season ticket for a new team coming to town. It'd be suicide in a new market.

Buying my ticket as soon as they're available. Would be great to meet up with some of you guys!

We'll get an event thread in the event section of the forum started soon.

See if all the members put in $20 I bet there would be enough to have a prize draw for US/non-UK members. We could get flights and a hotel to send the winner over here for the game.

Week 7 next season, the Rams play one NFC east opponent(TBD) in London. Who's up for a road trip? Well, an air trip.
Please don't be the Cowboys, please don't be the Cowboys, please don't be the Cowboys.
Playing in London is the DUMBEST idea ever. It's a logistical NIGHTMARE, and several teams have already said that.

It should be classed as an away game for both parties IMO.

I think it's bogus to give up one of your 8 home games to play overseas unless every other team gives up one of theirs too.

Agre with both statements..especially for the Rams, have obviously struggled mightily...Losing a home game can't do anything but make the path more uphill...Away for both teams seems far more fair...But then, wouldn't it screw 2 other teams ???

Why does Stan do this and give up a home game? More $$ in his pocket and he doesn't give a shit what the fans think about it.

I agree with previous poster who thinks this is an early indication that they will still be in STL next year. I highly doubt that they would take a home game away from LA in their first season.

I have to agree with this. Can't STAND the fact that it's always a bad franchise that sacrifices a home game against a team with a popular fanbase - which usually means a good team - none of the NFC East teams could really be classified as good, so I guess we got lucky there. I think we're destined for 3rd place. Would be funny to troll the Eagles in London by making Foles a team captain....oh wait....

The beatdown we received at the hands of the Patriots will forever make me hate London games.

it's cool for our fans over there....but from a competitive standpoint I hate it. But pretty soon every team will have to play a London game, just like a Thursday night game....and the scales will be tipped. The team that has the home Thursday game is also the home team in London.

This is why Romo being out 7 fucking games makes it even worse. We're 3-0 with Romo. Now, we have to win the rest of our games to even have a chance at the playoffs, which isn't going to happen. We play the Panthers tomorrow. I actually think we beat them (we've ruined perfect records several times), but we still have redskins X2, GB, and Buffalo. So, we'll win just enough games to be out of the top 10 on the draft. *angry face*

I would guess that with air travel, hotel and tickets, meals, taxis, etc, it will be a bit trendy price-wise...More so if you live on the west coast like me...Even more for air fares..I was in England a couple of times playing softball when I was in the service...I would love to visit again...Some ass hat people, but many more nice ones...Not at all like the snobbish, bores of Paris...
