Now unless they feel Limmer can play and hold up in pass protection, I would go with McClendon at RG or bring up Bowles from the practice squad. Of course that is if both guards cannot play. If Avila can go at LG, then start Dedich at RG with Limmer as a reserve. Limmer is a better Center then Guard, but he struggles in pass protection and does not appear to have improved in that area.
Gosh, what makes you think McClendon would be a better suiter for R/LG? My gawd, that dude stunk it up last year, yes it was at tackle but he was epic bad. Dedich has played actual NFL snaps at both R/LG and did a good to decent job doing it. Why would we rock the apple cart? Makes zero sense.

My scenario was based on both guards being out so Dedich at LG & McClendon at RG. McClendon cannot be worse than Limmer throwing lookout blocks at RG.

Shelton got stood up and pushed back into the pocket several times. On the QB sneak that went backwards, that also was Shelton getting stood up and pushed back.
But he's so smart at calling line plays he has to be in there

Limmer graded out 29.9 in pass blocking. He is so good at run blocking, but IMHO, is too much of a liability in pass protection. I would go with Dedich over him.
I agree, he was lunging and off balance pass blocking over and over.
That said, I think he will play of Dedich. Hopefully, will a full week of practice with the starters he gets his pass pro dialed in.

Reason 1,428 why i think PFF is nonsense,
Colby Parkinson had a higher rating than Davis Allen. Why is that a big deal? CP caught 2 passes for a negative 6 yards, including one of the catches he fumbled. So basically he'd have been better had he dropped the passes. And Allen catches 1 for a TD with no turnover and has a lower score.
Flags. Allen got tagged with two I believe.

Our biggest free agent pick up on defense was our highest rated player on defense.

That's a double whammy for Atlanta. :)
You know that their front office is thinking that they could have won this game with Landman back there.

Nah, he didn't gel with Morris' docile system. He's a playmaker. He didn't have a great season last year. That’s why they let him go.

The year before though, stud.

.

That all could be true but I also read he was dealing with some minor injuries all season.
Hopefully he doesn't have that problem with us.

He did his usual clear out work. More to the passing game than stats......it is funny he graded as high as he did however.
But what does that "clear out work" accomplish once other teams realize he's basically a decoy?

Maybe they're waiting for the right time to feature him in the game plan or something.
I don't know. :)

Well, that same thing can be applied to any design.
If they realize....and they already do....that shifting the TE in out wide of the WR is designed to pull the CB off of the WR and leave the WR matched up with a LB or S....what then? Defenses already know this. Watch some of the seem passes to Puka. That late TE shift is key to the plays success. It is about the timing of the movement. The defense doesn't have to time to communicate and adjust. The clear out stuff has to be respected because of his speed. The S has to come over and pay attention they are risking a cheap TD.
Play design is interesting and McVay is very good at it in the passing game.

ooh ya I saw that clip yesterday.
already making an impact!
now if we could just see Fergs on the field, that'd be great....
Id love to see Ferguson out there but I think it may be awhile.
The fact that Parkinson came back in after hurting his shoulder tells me Ferguson is not that close to playing.
Maybe that is this week and Id love to be wrong.....happens all the time.
Maybe it is going to be a good bit.

For some reason in my mind Quesenberry played a couple snaps at LG.I was HORRIBLY mistaken ? I guess it was because Limmer went from the LG to RG.

What I will say is Limmer doesn’t look good at LG,and much more comfortable at RG.Which is good for The Rams with K Dot being the player out for a couple weeks.

Then again he was like the highest player graded in PFF. I’m not a big Fan of PFF,and don’t think it’s as good in the whole picture.
