I'm a big fan of both our starting tackles.Ouch, Speights fell of a cliff. That's likely the Allen runs
But look at that! The one guy some here want to get rid of was the Rams highest graded O-line man again. The other guy some want gone is the second highest rated O-lineman
And we are getting Higbeast back which can only help in the run blocking.I'm a big fan of both our starting tackles.
And our center and her two stud guards.
It took them a while to get healthy, in shape and in sync, but i think they're finally there.
Rams are 2nd in the nfl in missed tackles when I looked at it yesterday.True, but Rosenboom looked bad in this one. I mean everyone missed tackles, but he looked like a guy about to get cut in the last preseason game.

I personally think Shula is in over his head. I hope McVay moves on
I'm not so sure. Pressures are great but sacks are what matters. Yeah our defense has potential but tackling and communication on defense are paramount and in my opinion are coaching staples that Shula falls short of. I'm all for giving him another year but I don't think he's itLeading the league in pressures with rookies and second year players all over the place. Give him some corners that can cover. Shula is going to be great.

It was more about Havenstein false starting twice in the game in big spots I could careless about the non-call.Why do people always want to concentrate on one or two bad calls when they happen throughout the game on both sides?
Ponderous. Simply ponderous.
Our DBs can’t tackle for shit
So, it seems that it's legal for a OT in a two-point stance to move his back foot and shift his weight. Could be a coaching point.

Is drafting talent at CB as difficult as Snead has made it look for the last 10 years? If our corners could stay within range of receivers, pressures can lead to picks. It’s all important. Sacks are great, but it’s not the end all be all. Yes, tackling is important. Our DBs can’t tackle for shit. Our linebackers consist of someone we wanted cut, and an undrafted rookie.
Gotta give these kids a chance to grow. Determining Shulas talent as a coach given the roster he inherited is absolutely crazy. We had worse defenses that had AD on them
I’m over the subjective personal vendettas against Havenstein. Setting to IGNORE: They come from a universe I chose not to live in.Ouch, Speights fell of a cliff. That's likely the Allen runs

You forgot all the UDFA's playing for us.Leading the league in pressures with rookies and second year players all over the place. Give him some corners that can cover. Shula is going to be great.
I completely agree. The D has 2 new rookies starting on the D-line, the 2 corners that were signed as free agents have played poorly, Witherspoon has been subpar, the safeties are rookies or UDFA, and the linebackers were significantly diminished by releasing their best one at the beginning of the season and going with 2 UDFA. Even the back-ups on the D-line were either 6th round picks or UDFA. And Shula had nothing to do with any of this. Give the guy a chance with a real defense before wondering if he should be canned. Personally, I think he has done very well with the talent he had to work with. Next year will be the real test although who knows what McVay or Snead will do.“I’m not so sure”.
“I don’t think”.
I think that sums it up. Shula has 7 new starters and likely the youngest defense in the league. Give him a legitimate CB1, a stud ILB and I believe this defense will cook.
Yep...some famous coach, I think Belichick, said that getting pressure on the QB is more important than getting sacks. I don't know that I've ever fully bought into that sentiment but QB pressure is very important. Not to be minimized. If our corners could stay within range of receivers, pressures can lead to picks. It’s all important. Sacks are great, but it’s not the end all be all. Yes, tackling is important. Our DBs can’t tackle for shit.
