This subject has way too much analysis going on. It is really quit simple. The Rams OL sucks bad and has no depth.
Sign Barksdale, Blalock, and Wisniewski at the very least, they already lost out on Iputi. Is Blalock the future? WHO CARES THE RAMS HAVE NO OL AND NEED OL NOW!
Then draft OL up the ying-yang and hope after all is said and done that some of these guys pan out.

Detroit has a dome.

I agree beggars can't be choosers. We need bodies who can play right now AND draft picks to start replacing them this year.

How much would Blalock command? 4.5-6 mill. A year?? A bit stout considering we need a RT in Saffold which will probably be 4.5-5 a year with almost 20 in cap space left and draft class taking about 6 mill that makes at most 17.5 with 2.5 mill left not enough for Wiz... Maybe a rookie center? o_0

The panic in the fan base is approaching the absurd. It's March 16 fergodsake. To plagiarize Aaron Rodgers.....R-E-L-A-X-!

They don't need anything 'NOW'.

i'm pretty sure when he says now he means this season, not now today. the rams only have 2 starters. no way they will start 3 rookies on the line and nobody wants to see 3 bargain basement davin joseph types in front of nick foles this season.

The trouble is that there is about 3 guys available in free agency that would fit into the Rams Oline. Barksdale, Blalock, and Wiz. So, while I don't think anyone is panicking, the options are dwindling fast and the Rams could easily be doing just what you say they won't.....start three rookies on the OLine.

Not being greedy BUT I am keeping my fingers crossed that the Rams get at least two of those three players!

I just said on the Barksdale thread that the prioropity should be Blalock. Then if they land either Wiz or Joe it is just gravy on top.

Having two vets at Guard would put guys experienced in Bou's system next to each rookie and GRob who is nearly a rookie.
