Adding rookie OLB'er Trevon Young back to the master roster is a big need since Longacre has faded. Sure appears we have seen the last of Matt Longacre. He was inactive last Sunday night & Wade went with only 3 OLB'ers with rookie Justin Lawler being the only reserve. Rams also held a tryout with linebacker Sam Eguavoen. After playing his college ball at Texas Tech, Eguavoen has been a linebacker for the Saskatchewan Roughriders of the CFL since 2016.

It is very weird that we don't have another OL on the roster.

Well, they are putting two on IR in Brown & Hatfield so they could be getting ready to promote someone from the practice squad and I'm betting it's Neary. Young took Brown's spot, still one more to be added to the active roster.

They have three choices in J.J. Deilman, Darrell Williams and Aaron Neary. Neary can play C/G, Deilman is also C/G with tackle experience in college and Williams (not the guy we had for years same name different player) is a tackle, so it could be either one, but Neary knows the offense best, if they do activate one of them.

Here is the CFL guy from Texas Tech. His highlights are impressive, but just highlights, can't see his negative plays. However, he looks the part of an active MLB and a big hitter. Apparently they don't have NFL like rules up there as he lays some guys out.

IMO, he takes Young's place on the practice squad, unless they are going to release Longacre.

Not sure, read an article that says he has multiple workouts scheduled.... so there may be a team that offers him a roster spot and decent contract. Just saying he would get an active roster type deal that carries into next season, plus a small bonus. Like a mid to late round draft pick would get.

I am surprised we haven’t moved Neary yet either. I don’t think I recall a game ever where 3 o linemen went down for the game? Maybe shaken up but put back out there.

Well, in that case maybe they do release Longacre because if they do sign Eguavoen to the active roster and keep Longacre, that's a slew of OLB's, when you're thin on the OL IMO.
