During the Super Bowl season.. the Rams were kinda all over the place for a while.. trying to figure out who they were and what they were doing. It took until December of that year against the Cards for them to really figure it out, imo.
We're getting it on November 2nd this year.
The offensive line is healthy and gelling. The Rams have 4 legit tight ends and McVay is now leaning into that roster strength to diversify his offense in ways not seen in years.
The running game continues to be solid, if unspectacular. Corum is getting closer and closer to really breaking one.
Puka and Davante are excellent WRs... just excellent. And Stafford and Adams have seemingly figured some things out.. making red zone issues, hopefully, a thing of the past.
Stafford is just absolutely balling. A master of all they are doing.
The defense is in year 2 under Shula and just continues to build. It is a multiple.. tough defense with players who are still ascending. They mix up coverages a ton because they've been a unit for a good chunk of games.. that stuff is priceless.
They know who they are and what they want to do on both sides of the ball.
Of course... the kicking thing needs to be worked out... or it could really cost the team later in the season.
One more thing about the Rams and their on-field identity... what's different about the situation, as a whole... is that the Rams have built this up a little differently than last time. This is a SUSTAINABLE... long-term situation with Snead and McVay. Getting a QB to replace Stafford will absolutely be a challenge.. but they've build up resources to make it possible to make a move when needed.
Just a fun organization right now.
