This tweet has about as much substance as the fake news epidemic reported in the past few months
Well, she's a reporter for NBC4 in D.C., so she must have heard something.
I've asked her to clarify already, so we'll see I guess.

Yeah...

Goff (rookie QB, basically) + McVay (rookie HC, youngest ever) = Risky

That's probably the feeling you have. It's a bold hire. I'm trusting Kevin on this one.

At the same time it's got BOOM potential. Kind of exciting.

Yep, amongst others.
Did they even interview Shanahan?

Every appointment is a risk but he obviously massively impressed in the interviews............so he has my 100% support and I hope he's a complete and utter success because I know us fans deserve that.

Just saying.. You realize age goes to 69 eventually for us born in the 1960's (for full bennies)? Not to be a Donnie downer here. lolol Unless you have a $1M or two sitting around in a 401K, IRA, or Roth it will be 69. And here I always thought that was the best number.. I'm Fiddy tray and hence why I am going back to school for PLC and Robotics certificates. If I have to work, programming for me buddy. I digress though and getting off topic here.

I think it's cool to see us getting some young blood @ HC, as long as he has a staff of vets that won't try and stab him in the back to get his job..

Weird "Sean McVay age trivia:"

- McVay would be the 2nd-oldest player on the team
- McVay was 18 the last time the Rams were in the playoffs (ugh)
- McVay couldn't drive when the Rams won the Super Bowl
- McVay was born two years after the Nintendo Entertainment System debuted in the US
- McVay's first voteable election was 2004
- McVay wasn't old enough to start drinking until two years after Marshall Faulk retired

Add yours. Please note: this is not an attack on McVay, simply a fun way of making myself feel old as hell.

Know why im fine with it? Fisher had a shit ton of years experience, as a HC for that matter, and where did that get us? yea.....so im fine with rolling the dice. fuck playing it safe with an old vet coach, roll the dice and lets see what happens. If it works, great!!! If not, ehh, we're rams fans, were used to shit so will deal with it like we have for the last decade.

Hope for the best, plan for the worst!

GO McVay!!!!!!

NFL head coaches younger than me are weirdly depressing. I thought it was bad when people younger than me were in the NFL. Then I thought it was bad when people younger than me were retiring from the NFL.

Now you've got a head coach who's not only younger than me, but by over half a decade?

Sigh.
Wait until you see a guy on TV and say "that guy is old",only to find out he's one year year younger than you....:baghead:

As I stated in another post, she is married to a friend of mine. She has been on the local sports scene for while here. She knows her stuff. That said, I am not worried at all about McVay. Not sure why, I just am not.

So happy with this hire dudes. Gotta say I kept thinking it would get screwed up, and we'd miss out on him. But they got 'er done and we now have a strong young offensive mind to grow with this team. Stoked. Absolutely stoked.

This guy has the full monte. He's gonna have to adjust to being head coach, and it's going to be a learning experience, but if the Rams are patient and support him by building it around him I think this is the guy who will change our fortunes. Sure, he could fail. But right now I have a lot of hope and man it feels good.

Nice job by the Rams bringing in minds outside the organization to get this right. I am very, very impressed by this hire and pumped like you wouldn't believe!

Exactly these complaints that he has little experience or he's too young are just foolish. Maybe we should've hired somebody with a ton of experience like Jeff Fisher.

Awesome! It is wierd to say this but, Seans connection to his grandfather John McVay (former GM of the niners) could make Goff happy because Goff grew up a SF fan. This should make Goff feel more at home in Rams blue. This is good in my opinion. Yeah yeah I get Goff's a pro and it doesn't matter in the least. I say it probably helps. So sue me.
