Sigh. So at what point is a good deed simply a good deed? They didn't have to do it. It was the right thing to do and they did it. And yes - it would have changed their profit picture by exactly $200,000*
That's what I am saying, it was the right thing to do since they prevented him from earning it in the first place by sitting him. They didn't have to but they did. 200K is like change in the sofa to an NFL franchise these days, but a lot to a player.
You remember when Holmgren benched Alexander when he got a few yards away from earning a big bonus some years back? That did not go over well. I think they found a way to take care of him but it was a bad move.
