I just picked up some fresh clam chowder that I'm gonna have for dinner tonight.

It's going to be extra tasty.

I want them to win the NFC West but three tough games just to reach the Super Bowl is a challenge. The Saints, Packers and Bucs are really good, and Seattle is always tough. Plus they all have a Hall of Fame QB.

Favorable seeding can make that road easier.

For example, the top Wild Card Team will play the NFC East 'Champion'. Not a bad consolation should the Seahawks win the Division, and the Rams are the top Wild Card.

I disagree. The way the Giants and Washington are playing now... the WFT just beat the unbeaten Steelers... I think they're gonna beat the Cards or whoever's at the 7th seed.

That game is gonna be bananas.

well , it's like this. He is currently staying at my condo down in Florida and there are a few Rams hats kicking around there. He is halfway thru sailing the Great Loop and wont be back in RI until June or July, so there is no way for me to get one of his Patriots hats until then. So the bet itself was " safer" than it sounds. That dumbass just didnt think it thru all the way like I did

You'll have to call him Looper once he completes it. That's pretty cool. I almost always make fun of sailors (sailboaters to be specific). But what he's doing deserves some respect. I give him some props if he completes the whole loop. Being called a Looper carries a certain amount of respect amongst those sailors.

He better be wearing that Ram hat on some of his trip. Demand pics!!!

he is on like a 45' powered sailboat with his wife, her sister and husband... did get stuck up in Canada for longer than they wanted and then had some mechanical issues asthey sailed down the Mississippi so they are a bit behind schedule. They are headed to the Keys for Christmas and will start the trip back up after the New Year I guess

Nah, I just meant that whichever team wins the NFC East isn't the quick bounce that folks think.

Washington, after beating the unbeaten Steelers won again, this time on the strength of two defensive TDs.

I think it's gonna be Washington in the playoffs and after the year they've gone through... they're gonna be feeling like Cinderfellas as well they should.

Their offense is anemic, but that defense is enough in a single game to wreck a lot of teams.

Also, don't look now, but the Eagles with Jalen Hurts just beat the Saints (I have a bit to say about this) and their DL is playing very well now, too.

My only point was that the NFC East isn't playing like the NFC Least and every team in the division except for NY won on Sunday and a good part of the Giants laying an egg was putting Jones back in there before he was ready allowing the Cards D to feast.

The best playoff game of the WC round will be #4 vs #5, imho.
