This team this year has the POTENTIAL to be great. But a whole lot of things must fall into place. They must stay reasonably healthy and they must not make stupid mistakes that cost them games, i.e. they must not beat themselves as they have done the last two years. I'm not referring to Goff per se. But INT's are no worse than fumbles and dumbass mistakes by the secondary giving up huge chunks in penalties.

One of the reasons I honestly believe that right now Funk is the #2 RB is exactly what Lindsey mentioned. He's been getting a ton of reps with the ones. I've heard this from friends who have attended the practices. As I've contended this makes perfect sense because his speed and skill set allow no change in the offense between Henderson and Funk. It wouldn't surprise me in the least if Funk doesn't play in preseason or if he does, it's very limited. IMO the RBs will be Jones, Calais and Anderson in the preseason. I don't expect Harris to play either.

IMO we might not see a lot of guys play in preseason or very limited early reps. I think McVay will give his "game day players" their reps in their joint Raider practice. I just don't see him exposing those guys to meaningless injuries. He will play his middle and bottom of the roster players because it's really the only chance they will have to separate from the others.

I think Benny Sko will get early reps, along with Garrett will see first-half reps. Rochell is recovering from surgery, Tutu, Harris, Ernest Jones, and Funk will be counted on during the season and their roles look very defined and clear. They have nothing to prove at this point.

I see Ernest Brown playing in the first half because he has a lot to prove. They need to see if he is the replacement for Terrell Lewis that they hoped for when they drafted him in the 5th round. He's a developmental player that might not see the field this year but will be counted on next year. If he can be explosive he can earn a rotational DE role this year. He and Chris Garrett need the reps as they might not see any accept STs. There is a need for rotational backups behind Floyd and Hollins.

it's funny, a video of a play was posted a few days ago and that women was standing in front of the field. it took me about 10 tries to actually see the play. my eyes were fixated on that prime piece of rump.

.
I actually have a few pics of her in one of my camp pics posts. In person it really isn't that great as the proportions are not there. Plus she looks like she is in her teens! But, she was out there every day doing I don't know what.

Hey Les! Hey Kevin! Get me a pass to be on the field next year! I can walk around all camp with my iPhone and look like I'm busy!

Why do these two guys on "Speak for Yourself" come across as premeditated, rehearsed and scripted on 95% of their takes/shows?

It feels like they spend the entire evening and the early morning preparing on subject matter for the next show.

(wash, rinse, repeat)

It almost always feels their crossfire debates are generically scripted.

Nothing ever feels authentic.

Speak for yourself, is one of my least preferred NFL shows to watch.

I do watch them from time to time but they don't do it for me or keep me engaged. .

Even if their material is positive about Rams related things, they sound the same and have little variety in with their brand.

It feels like their boss/producer placates to the 16 and under crowd for TV ratings. They have good takes but the authenticity feels driven by something else.

Pure stupidity. Show me a Starting NFL QB or NFL Head Coach who isn't under a Tremendous amount of pressure every year. I mean, NY Jets coaches get fired.

I disagree that the offense was never the catalyst. SB year we average 30 PPP. I'd say that is the driver for sure. Defense was good, if not great.
Lavar Arrington sounded like an idiot and shows why that network is a laughinstock.

The Rams had the highest scoring offense over 2018-2019. They were the very definition of catalyst.

The stuff is unwatchable. Lots of performers trying to act like smart analysts. Its utter cringe and unwatchable.

I'm quoting you to leap frog of this single underlined point.

This is the ONE thing that has to happen.
And i will maintain that IF Aaron Donald is healthy vs GB in that divisional game we steal that game and who knows vs Tampa in the NFCC gm? We beat them earlier at their place.

Point being that despite a gimpy ineffective AD, an injured, no confidence and mistake-prone Goff, no Kupp(again).....Rams were right there late in the gm at Lambeau Field with a shot. The upgrade at QB alone is going to trickle down all over this roster. I'm not sure a lot of folks realize just how big that's going to be.

We lost a very good Safety, but he's a Safety. The Rams farm DB's like corn. We lost our 3rd best corner but see above. Brockers was solid but he is 31 and might be missed more in the locker room than on the field. We have young, talented & hungry homegrown football players ready to move into these roles and everyone here knows their names. The system works here.

What if the defense drops from 1st to say...10th? The defense gave up 18ppg last year while the offense put up 23. Lets say the D surrenders 21ppg this year...
We're going to score 30+fucking ppg.
iu
Fuck it right?

Rams are set to roll over the NFL....if the key guys remain healthy.
Stafford, Kupp, Woods, Whitworth, Henderson, AD, Ramsey, Floyd.

DJax being healthy is a wildcard. Higbee is a forgotten weapon of consistent productivity. Rams are a plug n play offense with RB's since Gurley began to decline it seems. The OL will look better with #9 back there by default, especially vs the blitz.

Buckle up.

that was much more enjoyable without all the fake laughter which plagued it for the last year or so. i wonder who left?

i gotta say, when she isn't being a bitch that lindsay thiery women brings up feelings in me that make me want to go on the attack. but i'm not sure if it was her or just what everyone else was saying about the rams and she was the only women there to fixate my excitement level rising.

yeah, i get that, but when every other person in the video are ugly men and she's standing in the middle of it she kind of stands out.

The challenge for Stafford is to be able to play and win consistently on a good team when every game matters. Throwing 4 picks on lousy team isn’t really big deal because you weren’t going anywhere anyway.

He’s done it before, but it’s been a while. I’m counting on Stafford to handle it with ease because the game has slowed down for him at this point and he’s got a truckload of talent around him—the likes of which he’s never had.

That was a hell of a game from a no confidence injured Goff (plus he didn't make any outward mistakes in that game)

And damn I wish Reynolds caught that first down pass for 15 yards.

Last year it always seemed like one of the Rams receivers would drop a key pass late in the game to deny a potential comeback.

I know Everett did it a couple times last year.

After that pass both Blythe and Evans missed their blocks and Goff got sacked both times on second and third down.

Buckle up.
I'm with you there. Perfect storm ahead just like '99.

As I was watching the rook vids it just hit me again how special of an environment the Rams have going. How good this team is gonna be. We are always all over our weaknesses here on the board, but if you stop and really look at our strengths holy shit.

I mean from the top this team is smart. It's run smart. It's loaded with smart players all over the roster, surrounding great players. I agree with you that we're gonna roll the NFL this year. Let's goooo! :clinkingbeer:

If you haven't watched these rook vids they are pretty good. Second one spent a bit too much time on Funk's guitar (Hey Rams stick to football goddammit show us him hitting the holes ffs) but they're done quite well. Really dig the intro and cutscenes.

Oh and Warner vs 86 on that coverage was fantastic. Rooting for Warner to make the team btw, because his brother is a badass and I think the chance he can play like that means keep his ass on the PS at a minimum.

Oh and btw... Every day that goes by I become more and more convinced they hit on Ernest Jones. I dig his style man. He's serious minded about the game and knows his time is coming. Easy confidence. That my friends is a great indicator.

Lots of good observations by Demarco but bro, get some new glasses.
Yeah I was sort of chuckling to myself the entire vid. It's Demarco man the dude's like a cartoon character it's why I love him. He's like a nice version of Cartman or something.

Agree 1000% Way more enjoyable.

Re: Lindsay I like her when she's not asking stupid questions. Sometimes it's ok to let other people ask the irritating questions Lindsay. They'll get asked and if they don't then do it later in the presser. :thumbsup1:
