I don’t think you’re crazy at all when it comes to how good Jackson was at RG.
I just think he’s at least as good as Noteboom at LT and is a HUGE value there.
Both of us are going on a small sample size. There are risks.

When hasn’t there been risk? Then again tell me about Baker as The Rams QB? Something to get excited about if he is added as depth to Stafford.

We wouldn't be looking at next year like this if they had focused a little more on OL in the 2020 and 2021 drafts.

They really screwed up the OL due to those two drafts.

Well I always thought about trading up to get Taylor & then Lance Dickerson who can play both C/G. Has size, but then again there was injury concerns.

I think you can’t miss on certain players. My biggest question is Lance Bruss who Mcvay really liked & some Scout jumped into the pool because he was still there.

I see people indicating they think Boom will be back for camp. I just don’t see that as a reality. He tore his Achilles in October. He is no where close to the body type and athlete that Akers is.

No way he is back before the start of the season. He is definitely not competing for a spot in training camp.

I guess that makes things even more interesting. What was his injury 2 seasons ago when he was out for the season ? Think it was when Brian Allen rolled into him.

ACL/MCL but Allen didn’t roll into him. Allen was blocking a player who fell into Boom. He’s glass and shouldn’t be counted on for more than a few games a year.

So same leg & only a ACL? I have no Idea about Notebooms future. It has always been the same.
It’s like picking up this smart hot chick & you get her home & think wow this could be perfect. Then she gets naked, has fake Tits,& says she has a the clap. You stay up all night as she reads your palm & tells you to guess the future after charging you a $1,999.00 or $35 million.

Hard call but I still believe when you get down to pulling down the pants & checking Noteboom has Big Balls & Heart. How he apply’s it or his future will be for an interesting story.

I drink the Kool-Aide & believes in Unicorns. It all adds for a good trip a king with a little LSD

the only trouble with your scenario is if we had all those picks no one know who we might have picked. we also gave 2 2nd rounders for petters. anyhow that's a lot of picks and maybe we would have hit on 2 or 3 ol men that weren't injury Pron. i know a lot of posters say high draft picks are a crap shoot but doesn't that make the lower picks even greater crap shoot. plus if we had those draft pick we would have had more cap space and could have picked up some veteran back ups.

Good points - but coming off a Super Bowl was sure nice.

In a way this season could work out really well for The Rams & there future.

Are we playing what if’s, predictions or projections?

Rams’ Sean McVay Sends Clear Message About Dealing With Injuries

While there are NFL fans, analysts and members of the “Rams House” fan base using injuries as the excuse behind the Los Angeles Rams‘ stunning 2022 fall, don’t include Sean McVay as one embracing that excuse.

The head coach and Super Bowl winner sent a bold, stirring message about the injury pileup with reporters on Zoom on Tuesday, December 13.

What McVay Called it

Injuries again became a topic of discussion for McVay — as he and the Rams have had to navigate through a season that’s seen countless of players head to injured reserve. But McVay described using the injury excuse as a waste.

“I think more than anything, you make the convenient excuses of these injuries or whatever,” he said. “It’s wasting your emotional energy on things that you have no control over. Knowing and feeling are very different things and I’ve learned that this year more than ever. But I do think that being around people that have a similar approach and being able to be authentic, be real, but then being able to keep it moving and not dwell on that stuff I think has been at least a healthy balance for me. But it’s all about being surrounded by the people.”

What’s Helped McVay Stay Motivated During his Most Difficult Season Yet

Again, McVay has had to draw up plays without Matthew Stafford or Cooper Kupp as the focal points with both likely out for the remaining four regular season games.

And most recently, McVay had to come up with schemes catered to a signal-caller who had just less than three days to prepare for the Rams’ offense in Baker Mayfield. But there’s been a motivational factor for McVay during his first sub. 500 season as a head coach: The guys who keep returning to the Thousand Oaks facility despite the loss pileup.

“The easiest way to be reset is to see the way that these guys come back in the building consistently, even after some of the setbacks,” McVay said. “I can’t tell you how impressed I was where you see the energy that was expended on the Sunday game against Seattle and to see these guys come back in here on Tuesday and Wednesday and work the way that they did, be locked in in meetings, be intentional about the walkthroughs or even the practice that we had on Wednesday, and then see them go perform the way that they did. That to me, when you’re reminded of that, that’s easy to get up for those guys.”
