No Mike Jordan I guess. We'll see how long it takes for Gratz to get on the field, I would think they would need him this week though. Have him play on ST and be the 4th CB. I expect a lot of Cody Davis this week in sub packages on D just because he knows the D better than anyone else they could put on the field. I think they will try and get by with 3 CBs and 3 S' when they wanna play coverage.

Hey hey hey. Bradley Fletcher was very good with us. He didn't become crap until he left the Rams. Was one of my favourite players on the team when he was here. Sure as freak was better then Bartell.

He started grabbing a lot his last year and when he went to the eagles not sure why. I liked him too the first couple of years

Not necessarily. They cut Sensabaugh so they needed to fill a spot at CB anyway. Tru is probably out for this week but he could be back for the Giants game.

Don't be surprised if he's out until at least the Nov 6th Panthers game, if not beyond. This isn't quite the simple tweak some making out to be. Hopefully a fast healer but multiple games missed is likely.

Bartell was half way bad...Just because he wasn't a Pro Bowler or All Pro people dismiss a player as horrible. Act like his ass was Justin King or something...

Are we thinking about the same butter fingers Bartell? Guy couldn't catch a ball to save his life. So many picks he could have had. Was furious to watch.

04/24/2013 - 2013 NFL DRAFT RANG'S GANG: CB: Dwayne Gratz, Connecticut, 5-11, 201, 4.44...Every attentive fantasy football enthusiast will tell you that the ability to pass protect is every bit as important as speed or elusiveness when it comes to projecting which rookie running backs might earn carries each year. In much this same way, tenacity and tackling in run support are often every bit as valued by teams as pure coverage skills at the cornerback position. Gratz, a 41-game starter at UCONN, possesses the all-around game scouts are looking for, showing not only toughness against the run but experience in man and zone coverages and good ball-skills (eight career interceptions), as well. - Rob Rang, NFLDraftScout.com

ADDING GRATZ

While Hill may be in Johnson’s spot for now, the club also added depth at cornerback by picking upDwayne Gratz off waivers. The Jaguars picked Gratz in the third round of the 2013 draft, and the cornerback has made three interceptions, 12 passes defensed, and 119 tackles for Jacksonville in the four seasons since.

“We were really surprised. We were doing our homework with the potential with Trumaine’s injury and the lack of depth there, so we did our research,” Fisher said. “We kind of got wind that they were going to make a choice there — they did, they let Dwayne go. We submitted the claim and we were awarded the claim. He’ll be there in the morning.”

Fisher said he liked Gratz coming out of Connecticut, adding the club was excited to have him aboard.

“Great, great young man, really smart, a team guy,” Fisher said. “I think he was a little caught off guard by the release. Yeah, he’ll be here in the morning and we’re get him coached up as quick as we can to play special teams — he played predominately inside for them the last year and a half, but has the skills to play outside.”

And with a game across the pond coming up, the Rams have avoided a potential issue, given the team Gratz is coming from.

“He’s familiar with London — that’s the last place he played, so he’s going back. I didn’t have to ask him if he had a passport or not,” Fisher said with a laugh.

Same with any Rams cornerback of the last decade and a half. How many balls did Janoris or Trumaine drop? Comes with the position of getting balls thrown at you, i just cared if he didn't get beat like a drum constantly.

The difference is that Janoris and Trumaine catch a few from time to time. You could throw a dozen directly at Bartell he might catch one.

But the main point was Barrell was an above average cover corner. As an example, we don't know if Gaines is going to have a ton of interceptions yet, but he is definitely an above average cover corner.
