I was looking at driving down, and parking at wembely, so that's a bit of a distance to travel out and back again? Do they really not have places closer to go? I understand that Americans may not get a 35min tube ride/ 10mile being long, but.... i think that's excessive as a 15mile train ride takes 10mins in brum.

Also to add, have UK fans checked current train schedules into london? My earliest train gets me to Wembley at 14.45, with kickoff at 14.30 or arrive a day early.... so I'm driving. And I don't want to be negative but I'm not adding 1hour 10 round trip on tube after 3hours of driving.
I'll make a weekend of it. My sister stays in Croydon so I'll go say hello to her then spend the Sunday night in a hotel in London somewhere. Sunday trains are a pain in the baby door.

I'm only passing on information on what is being planned already.

For previous Rams games at Wembley we've been allocated the Barrowboy and Banker near London Bridge tube station and I co-ordinated with teh Rams VP of Fan Engagement on getting fans there the day before for player and management meet ups .

Unfortunately, I won't be able to get to this game but am still part of the LA RAMS UK admin group.

The area around Wembley is pretty built up now and the "Tail Gate" is a bit sterile to be honest, retail led with no independent set ups.

Obviously there are loads of pubs and bars nearer the Stadium that will be looking to engage fans from all 32 teams on the day
Wasn't personal just seems like bad planning, in my opinion, and more expense for fans.
Will the bar screen the game? Is it for fans who didn't get tickets ect

I would also be disappointed to miss a meet and greet day before or after ect. (I understand game days are crazy) but london isn't central for fans, isnt cheep or easy to get to and massively expensive to stay overnight. (For Americans, it's like only playing games in Manhatten)

I don't want to be negative anymore. I'm looking forward to it, and should be getting a Rams hoodie tomorrow, so super excited!

Beeping the horn is only acceptable when you see a friend and once they look up you either wave at them or sign them off.
My boys and I used to drive around and honk at people walking - then wave the other direction. Good times.

The C word isn't usually a term of endearment over here, unless softened with daft or silly before it, but tw@t definitely can be.

We call our dogs The Tw@t Twins.

And my wife regularly calls me a stupid tw@at.

She also calls me a fucking prick and a loser, so presumably they're terms of endearment too.

I mean, I go by Billy Butcher's meaning of the word, which is usually a term of endearment from him. Of course, he's an asshole in many other ways, so...

Twat, I know is a term of endearment and insult sometimes; I've watched enough Hot Fuzz (really underrated parody of police movies) to know that.

"Don't be a twat, Angel!"

"I wouldn't give you the satisfaction!"

Assume you've seen the other two films in that "trilogy" (they're stand alone films but all the same idea). Shaun of the Dead and The Worlds End. Shaun of the Dead in particular is a classic and a really good example of British humour.

Am I the only one perusing this thread just for the UK slang you guys use?
Be careful. London has cockneys, who use rhyming slang, (people outside of London use it aswell, but nowhere near as much)

Going up or down the "apples and pears"

Go have a "butchers" (harder as its been shortened from "butchers hook")

And so on....

It was invented to stop the police listening to the conversation about illegal stuff they did.

In the UK any word can be a complement or an insult.

It's more about the inflection and tone of voice.

You're such a twat - affectionate
You are a twat - insult

@RamFan503 … Brilliant grill-master but he will grill anything. If you have house-pets, it could get ugly.

Just arrived, really surprised how amazing the quality is! The hoodie pocket has 2 little pockets inside that fit a phone and the other maybe a car key or credit card. Soccer stuff is not as good as this.

I bought a Rams hoodie when I was there in November. It's utter shite, but a friend had ordered it and unpacked it, so I couldn't send it back. The daft twat.

I have an old hoodie and another, much thicker, new colour and design one, both with the Ram logo embroidered on them that are 10x better. I'm reasonably sure neither was any more expensive than the one I have now, which feels like somebody ironed on the print to a $2 hoodie they bought in Taiwan.

I'd love another one like the embroidered ones because the older one is wearing out, and the newer one is too thick for regular use. I look like a blue yak.

Were they from the NFL store?

I have a bunch of stuff from the NFL Europe shop and it's pretty hit or miss quality wise. Some of it is excellent. Often good deals on.

That, I have. Loved all of them, but Hot Fuzz was by far my favorite.

Awesome! I love learning new things about the cultures of others!

Does that mean I’m a twat? ;)

Got them from nfl uk store. It's sideline Club Hoodie Team issue (might make better ones for "Team Issue"?)

Inside the large pocket are these 2, one large enough to fit galexy s24 ultra, other fits a credit card. (On the inner side)
