I expected that he'd have a larger role. He's a very solid safety who impressed in the preseason as a dime back/linebacker/safety hybrid, much like Barron, except more safety than linebacker.
I really hate to be a homer.... My prediction was 31-10 Rams. While the end game worked out to what I thought.... The path there was tough!!!!!
Hope our offense continues to make comfortable leads like this game. Opposing teams will play into our defense's strength in pass defense if we continue to do so.

For a solid 10 secs I thought you guys were talking about Cooks and I was getting ready to sue you for criticizing Rams players like that after a win.
Then I got it, JARED Cook suuuucks. When he is your best asset on offense you're in trouble haha. He could put 300 yards on us, I wouldn't look back for one second.
This was me in the first half yesterday. This would not have been me in the first half two years ago. Actually, two years ago the opener was that debacle against the Whiners... I'm not going to dig for it but I'm guessing I was having an aneurysm while typing in the game day thread. I have complete and utter faith in McVay and Phillips. We were a different team last year in the second half. It's how they roll, they want to see what the other team is going to do and they will attack it in the second half.
Did we throw one pass to a TE? That has to change. You play these physical defenses in the playoffs and when the refs let guys play, you need a big bodied target to muscle the ball away from a defense on those 3rd and 6's to keep drives going. You will beat up Kupp if he ends up catching a lot of those type passes over the middle.
I took notice of Carr and Lynch laughing and acting like the game was over in the 1st half...I also noticed that they walked to the locker room with their tails between their legs at the final gun...
I fully expected the 1st half would be rough.
