Rams defense will be ahead of the offense out of the gate, is what I’m expecting.

Run D will be improved just from Suh’s addition and Brocker’s health.

Then they unleash the pass rush...

Pass D will be solid, if not dominant. I wouldn’t want to face Ram secondary at all.

A little rust from the O will not prevent a win - Rams 27 -Raiders 9

Hey Prime Time, we need a “what the other fans are saying” thread! Chop Chop!

I've been checking out the Raiders forums and signed up for their main one just now. Unfortunately there's no discussions yet on the upcoming game. The predominant topic is Khalil Mack for obvious reasons.

They will probably zero in on the Rams this weekend or at least by Monday. By Tuesday today, when AD signs, :yay: there will be lots of "oh crap" posts. :)

Mack and the Raiders haven’ negotiated in months and Gruden hasn’t even met the kid. Mack has held out all offseason, so now he’s just gonna show up? A lot would have to happen in 10 days for your “what if” to be even remotely possible. I think it’s more likely Mack is traded, than play on MNF.

Like I said above, EVEN IF Donald isn’t playing on MNF, this team without him is better than last years defense with Donald. Donald in in the 2018 defense makes the Rams historically good. Rams go 14-2 in the regular season this year, in my humble, totally objective opinion!
at least 14 wins, by my very careful calculations

Is there an over/under on how long Carr lasts?

Scary thing Is no one knows how to gameplan for the raiders at this point so in that way they have an advantage . I think gruden will attack our olbs and ilbs to see how they hold up. Hopefully our young LB crew is prepared

They ran mostly Gruden's old playbook from his Tampa days in preseason, so like McVay he pretty much kept a tight lid on things. I actually think he's going to mash the ball hard on us and try to hit our defense in the mouth. And probably mix in some new stuff of course with liberal borrowing from Jay and Sean's offenses.

We have AD on board. Mack is out. Our defense was already better than Oakland's and our offense was #1 in scoring last season. I see the Rams in a rout 31 - 10. Luckily I have a friend who is going to be in Las Vegas for opening weekend so I game him some $$$ to make a wager for me. By now you know who I'm taking.

Think how the media will be hyping the Rams after a blowout on MNF AND an Iggles loss on Thurs......Coverage should be delicious.

You better believe Gruden will and has probably already had hour long discussions with his brother on how to game plan for McV. Plus our starters on O haven't played at all yet this yr. So I fully expect our offense to struggle big, even with how bad the raiders d is on paper. New season though hthey could be good for all we know.

21-18 Rams in a slug fest. We probably get a p6.

I hope so ...I dont know anyone on that defense other than Mack. Their offense might be explosive though .

I hope our core guys are not rusty from all the sitting , although I think practicing against themselves in practice might help more than preseason games .
They don’t even have Mack now .. trading to the bears

Would like to start off strong and I do believe in the defense at this point and unless there are multiple turnovers by the offense or special teams, I believe the defense will shut them down. Concerns because of no playing time for the likes of Goff & Cooks, but strongly believe the defense will keep things in check.

I to expect a sluggish start, but because our D will keep us close in the 1st half, probably get some turn overs and some easy points, it will give our offense time to work out the kinks. By the second half the Offense will catch fire and the final score will be Rams 31 to 9.

Having a game plan is only half the equation; having the personnel to execute it is the other. An already suspect defense just lost their strongest asset.

They may talk, but will do no good. Jay Gruden’s team caught the Rams early last year when our defense was learning to trust 3-4 defensive concepts, instead of the 4-3 they had always known. The two Grudens and McVay use a variation of the West Coast system, play action. Goff can call different plays from the same formation and the MLB has to make counter calls to Goff, but he doesn’t know exactly what’s coming. I don’t think the Gruden’s can read Sean and Jared’s mind when their are multiple options from the same “look.” Most importantly, the Rams talent is so much better. I expect our defense to shut out Carr and the Raiders...BLOWOUT

RAIDER WEEK IS OFFICIALLY ON THE CLOCK!

Oh....and Mack will NOT be on the field for the Raiduhs

The first game of the season always makes me nervous. Crazy shit happens. I can see our offense struggling at first and Derek Carr can be frustrating to defend. But at the same time, that team has issues. People forget we started out slow against Indy last year. 10-3 after the 1st quarter and should have been 10-7.

Rams win 38-13

Road blowout on MNF...season opener?

I suppose anything is possible, however this may not be the cakewalk as apparently expected

I do tho expect a strong first couple of series from the offense

I expect that our defense will be historically good, and that’s why I am so cocky...lol
