They’re not high school or college freshmen any more. I deal with the former enough. The transgressions of youth

Well that and the TEs are blocking well. Park needs to use his hands instead of always leading with a shoulder. Very easy to dodge.Limmer shouldn't have been taken out last week. I think the other thing that has helped is McVay using 12 personnel finally this week
I said to my wife "punt it" when that pass to Puka was incomplete. No way you try a long FG there. You don't need it to win, you're already winning. And fans can question McVay's playcalling but they can't complain, "don't go into a shell" if they do question it. I was glad they passed. That's aggressive and it forces the defense to account for everything. #9 threw a dime to Puka, covered tightly and the DB made a nice play.Yep. Redzone defense and our offense finally finding its rhythm got us that win today.
Relative to his pay, he will also be ... umm, less than ideal. We did just fine with Deidrich in there.
Including this game, on the season, it's 23 times the opponent started on the 20 or deeper in their end. They have scored 3 TDs, kicked 2 FGs, punted 10 times, ran out of time at the half once, ran out of time in regulation once, fumbled the ball away, threw 4 interceptions and had a safety. But here's the kicker. The last 18 times they've got 1 FG, 9 punts, 5 turnovers, a safety and ran out of time twice. Is our defense learning situational football a little more?Important fact on "why punt". Prior to this game Rams opponents this season had taken over on their own 20 or deeper 19 times and scored 3 TDs. After the game, it's 22 and 3 TDs (2 of those 3 TDs came in the first 4 weeks). Think McVay might have known that?
Yeah, I didn't want to see Karty there, and a potential miss giving them the ball near midfield. It was the right call.Including this game, on the season, it's 23 times the opponent started on the 20 or deeper in their end. Amen to this.Yeah, I didn't want to see Karty there, and a potential miss giving them the ball near midfield. It was the right call.
