Not really. It’s on both. There’s no reason the QB should have 10 seconds on the clock by the time McVay has the plays in. It’s well documented McVay gets long winded. It shouldn’t be that complicated. Nobody else has that issue.
That's on Stafford.

He should know where the time clock is.... he's not a rookie QB.

Stafford had a crappy game.

It would have been a lot worse if he snapped a ball before he was ready.

Staff played like shit, but that was also one of the worst coaching performances I can remember.

7.2 yards a carry, so we pass…in the rain…with a qb that had two turnovers…

Make it make sense.

Just stop man. It has always been on the QB. It will always be on the QB.

McVay will blame himself. All the casual fans will buy it. But the QB has to know the clock and be ready to hike it or call the timeout.

Especially if you are going to leave him out on an island. The Rams might have him over rated
Yes. Not realizing that McMillan is going to barbeque his ass is one of Shula's biggest mistakes in his scheming this year thus far. That wideout requires help over the top, or a rush that is getting home so fast it doesn't matter.

Panthers did a great job anticipating pressures. Their line won the LOS on a lot of snaps. So they deserve cred. There were definitely a lot of ways the Rams staff came up short on both sides of the ball today, however if Stafford had his head on straight we still would have won the game.

How is that on McVay.

Stafford is supposedly in MVP mention. It is his responsibility to manage the game, especially when the game is in doubt. Stafford looked like a rookie on the last two possessions.

Hopefully that won't happen again.

If you can’t see that his coach does him absolutely no favors by taking up 3/4 of his allotted time just getting the play to him then that’s on you.

Get the fucking play in and let the QB play his chess.

No, the people that understand the hardest position in sports needs more than 7 seconds to make adjustments will also understand that McVay has him starting behind the 8 ball constantly

Yes but that has nothing to do with the penalty. The clock is the clock. The QB controls the snap. It is squarely on the QB's shoulders to call the time out. Doesn't matter if McVay often has oversight on that and helps out. When it fucks up it's on the QB.

Argue it all you want. And when McVay falls on his sword buy that shit. But it won't change the fact that the penalty was on Stafford.

This reminds me of when Goff had that shit ass season, and some on this board were falling all over themselves to make excuses for him. I wasn't having any of that shit. And I'm not having any of it now. But if you want to buy that shit have fun.

We weren’t prepared for this loss. I think the Rams felt they got it easy. The entire team looked lost, Thanksgiving hangovers are real. Panthers owned us and its that simple.
