Refs went nuclear on Washington in the playoffs when they went offsides multiple times in that one shart-yardage situation.

I thought it was a great idea and I'd have thought NY might have gotten the point but they didn't.

Yeah, I do remember that now that you mention it. If I remember correctly after a few flags (3?) they awarded Philly with a touchdown because you aren`t allowed to false start perpetually.

I think it is a good approach. The officials have PUBLICALLY admitted that they cannot officiate that play, so why not just f*ck with what is in McVay`s words, NOT a football play.

I liked it because it brought the absurdity of the butt plug play so much needed attention.

Rams are shit on short yardage stoppage situations anyway. Can't recall the last time we actually made a stand there. It's not our strength, we're a DL built on quickness and penetration which often comes up short in that situation because you're giving up mass to the opposing OL.

Just keep them out of short yardage. Get your stops at 3+ yards. Put them in a lot of third and longs and a win is possible. Let them run all over the yard on our boys and we're going to lose.

Philly's offense requires the run threat to operate at its winning level. So stop the fucking run on early downs and contain Hurts.

The Rams have to stop the run and early in the game most teams can slow that down. The problem is that you have to get at least a 2 score lead so they have to pass more than they run. All their games are close at half time and then the opposing D starts to wear down.

Cowboys tried something that almost worked. Have to have the beef in the middle to do it which unfortunately not sure the Rams have.

Clog the middle and have a DB come around the corner and grab Hurts legs.
The Rams offensive line defending the pass is pretty bad. Shelton is a Little center, no beef that you need for something like that. They just need to make enough time for Stafford to throw. That they can do, so far. May be run blocking is good, so there is that. Go, Rams!

1) Philly wasn't awarded a TD vs Washington. If I remember correctly, the official made an announcement after the 4th or so false start that 1 more and they would allow the TD.

2) I would put money on it the officials will call a false start this week, but when Philly is on the 50.. not the goal line

How to win this game.

Offense: Run.The.Damn.Ball. The Eagles have played this team with deep shells to prevent the explosive plays. The sorry to mid passing game can be utilized as well. This can play right into the Rams’ hands with a good mindset, which is to run the clock and keep the Eagles offense off the field.

I would hope we can get a halftime lead, and wait for the Eagles to predictably change up their defense, which will allow for the deep shots.

On Defense: Force the Eagles to make Hurts beat us with his arm. He has not thrown the ball consistently well this offseason. I want to see the Rams starting line of V8, Davis, Ford, and Agent 0 make life difficult on Barkley. I also want to see us go with Dolac, Speights, and Landman during early downs as well with one high safety.

Again, make Hurts beat us with the arm.

So why doesn’t a team put two giant lineman in the backfield with a midget (sorry little person) and have the lineman just launch the midget over the line for 2 yards?

Yep.
1) Our run blocking needs to get some removal this week.
2) Last year we let Saquon and Hurts escape to the house. Don't do that.

Poona could be an asset against this stupid fucking play. He is our only hope to get leverage.

This play will be outlawed by start of next season. If the shit bag eagles really wanted to, they could run this play on every down. They would have 20 minute drives with a guaranteed score at the end and win low scoring games by making a single defensive stop.

I ain't concerned about the "tush push".!!! My main concern is containing the run period. The Eagles have a huge OLine, which is where I think Shula's work is cut out for him!!!

PFF ranks the Eagles Oline #1...our Rams ain't bad at #7. The Rams Dline is ranking at 3 which is great, but the Ram LBs need to have a heck of a game.

Then there's keeping Hurts from breaking big runs when he scrambles.

I know the Rams can defeat his team, but my biggest worry of all is how McVay calls the offense, because he can get too pass happy!!!

Sundays's a comin'...and we're gonna see!!!

The last two games the Rams D was horrible containing the edge. Stroud and Ward got outside and both made big plays while being chased (and not caught), by Rams defenders.

They better get their act together because Hurts is a much better scrambler than those other two.

They better double team Carter wherever he lines up because no one on the Rams OL can block that guy one on one. Dedich and Shelton are probably not enough to slow him down.

I fear for Staffords safety in this game.
