I'm not so sure they're easier to find than centers.
A strong OG is absolutely easier to find than a strong Center. There is zero doubt in my mind on that one.

You can get either well into every draft. But there are more good OGs than there are good Centers, and many good OTs who have short arms move inside on top of that. It's not even close.

And again I'm not saying the Rams are going to do that. I just wish they would.

Honest question: if guards are easier to find then centers than why are guards paid more than centers? Wouldn't the market correct and make centers - who in this scenario are the harder to find prospect - more expensive than guards to pay and retain?

Because teams use a lot of lesser players at Center in comparison, who need to be protected by Guards with duos and the like to execute certain plays.

The mental requirement at Center makes them naturally more difficult to find. You can find brainy ones in every draft. But they must be protected.

Linderbaum is a fucking unicorn.

But if this was true that a Linderbaum - a center physically and mentally strong - was a unicorn, that would be reflected in pay. He's projected to get $19 - $20 mil as the highest paid center but guards have already broken the $20 mil barrier years ago.

We'll see what he gets. But the dude stands out like crazy among Centers.

Young as hell. Good as hell. He's the type of player who usually doesn't hit FA.
