Austin Corbett, the No. 33 overall pick in the 2018 draft.

It would be nice if he could contribute soon. It doesn't sound reasonable to think that it would happen. I guess we can hope. I'm not sure if he is more an OC or OG.

And then there’s linebacker Kenny Young, who was part of the package for Marcus Peters. He was a starter for the Ravens earlier this season but was benched for two games due to poor play. A fourth-round pick out of UCLA, the Rams are familiar with his game.

Less to learn at ILBer gives Young a shot at getting playing time.

Getting players with some talent that can use a change of scenery is a good way to make improvements at a low cost. Just have to wait and see.

The LB Kenny Young trade is hard for me to understand:confused:.

I think he is a player they had interest in during the draft last year. IMO after the sf debacle Wade told McVay we needed to deal Peters so we could play man coverage and possibly go after Ramsey. Peters had to go so you take what you can get, within reason.

100% agree. If the Rams wanted a player there are more effective areas that the Rams could address especially the oline. To me a wasted use of a trade. To me he should be starting not being slowly worked into the system. He started in Baltimore and lost his starting job not a ringing vote of confidence.

As for Corbett the price was so low vs where he was drafted plus Komer personally worked him out. Yet it scares me to hear John Dorsey who drafted him felt he was a bust after the first day of practice.

On Young: Balt has the #1 toughest D....maybe he isn't "up to that task" as a speed LBer---meaning he doesn't have the size to work with guards running at him....but he is a B+ in our system and C- in theirs....that is: he is a good player; I am 100% sure Littleton would not be starting in Baltimore..they need thumpers on the #2 rush defenses, which Littleton is not...Young is not that...just my opine, yo ya'all. I am young (you know by the "yo" thing that I use so liberally:)

John Dorsey is a good 'big picture' guy---you can see by many of his transactions. BUt, I don't think he "gets" some details like scheme fit....just look at his judgements on the training camp fiasco....he ain't that special of a GM....a good one though.

Blythe was a good player in 2018---until the 330 lbers tossed him around, starting in Week 12. Blythe was cut be a desparate-for-O-lineman team (the Colts, in 2017)--desparate I tell you....Blythe was good enough to help the Rams get to the super bowl.....he was a 292 lber in collge...he is still small and weak by NFL standards--and short arms don't help.

Maybe Corbett is a 2020 upgrade.

McVay didn't play Edwards because Demby " knew" what to do (Dembys is soooo bad, and still McVay wouldn't use the superior, and smart Edwards)....you can expect we will not see Corbette gett playing time this year, unless in clean up time.

All opinions you younguns who know a lot!

There is a reason the Rams traded for Corbett. That will be unveiled when the Rams come out of their bye in week 10.

Not sure there is a team in the league that Littleton wouldn't start for.

I'd argue our run defense has performed notably better than the Ravens.

Ravens giving up 84.3 YPG at 4.3 YPC
Rams giving up 95.9 YPG at 3.4 YPC
