He got married 4 months after that.
And all the injuries that derailed '22 and made the first half of '23 and 24 so difficult came after that.

I want the good health and good o-line play of '17-'18 with the QB play of '21, '23-'25.

Good Info @OldSchool Lamar is a difference maker when healthy, he is an almost perfect modern day QB throw first but absolutely tear your heart out with his timely runs.

Hutch is one of my favorite non Rams, a true stud and exactly what that D needs. When you speed up the qb’s clock everyone else on the D’s job gets easier

As far as BY’s contract goes, I think Les and BY’s agent well have talks and know with reasonable clarity what the contract terms will require.
At that point if it is too much I can totally see trade partners beginning to be invetigated

If he stays healthy he is a huge asset on the field or as a bargaining chip

That draft was one of our best

Lamar is the best fantasy QB ever, IMO. But he doesn't seem to play at the same level come playoff time. IMO.

I hate to say it, but I think trading BY is going to be the smart move.. ugh. Hate it.
But.. he's not the guy who creates most of the havoc.. that's Verse... and you have to keep Turner too.

I wonder if I'm way-too-enthusiastic in thinking they could get at least a first for BY in the offseason.

Blame me if this jinxed us but quite the turn around from last year. That you Poona, Landman and Coach Shula.

Ford is a massive upgrade over Brown. And yes Landman is a massive upgrade too.

Also agree Coach Shula deserves cred. From day one we saw improvement in tackling, and this year their play vs the run is downright excellent (T-6th in yards per). When you have a rush like ours and an offense can't shorten the chains for third down with a good run game, it makes for a long day.

Incredible ESPN presence, but hasn't been able to make the plays in the biggest moment.

Generally speaking what will provide that for you, historically speaking, is winning from the pocket. It is part of that equation why Mahomes has multiple titles and both Lamar and Allen have zero. Both those guys can do it time to time, however when all the chips are on the table they're both at their best if they can scramble around and off sched. If you contain them you have a chance and defenses deep in the playoffs can generally contain up front.

Byron Young is going to be thirty years old at the end of his rookie contract. I know it sucks losing a dominant player we drafted, but trading him to another team for a haul might be for the best. We still have to sign Turner, Verse, and Fiske - and that's just on defense.
