This has the feeling we come out, passing 12 plays in a roll (to open the run). And put an epic drive that shuts up a lot of people. We get up 2 scores early and force them to pass while playing catch up! Coach McVay brings his A game and schools DC Allen.
Has that feeling to me. 14-0 early and Aints can't follow their script and play catch up fearing we get to 21 on 3rd O drive!!!

I really want a win , but it's not the end of the world if they lose . Get up early and keep the dome quiet.
Playoff atmosphere. Probably the biggest game of our regular season. Should be a good one.

Definitely, A Huge game for the Rams (And, The Saints!)! Winner of this game could have the inside track to be the Home Team throughout the NFC Playoffs! And, Personally, If, the Rams do meet the Saints again in the Playoffs I would prefer to see the Rams play them in Los Angeles!

Just a little concerned about the OLine vs the blitz. Surprised to say that really.... but this is where the OLine gets back to upholding protection and keeping Goff clean. GB - 5 sacks, and Den - 5 sacks... they happened in different ways, but still, need to shore it up against a good Saints DLine even without Davenport.

Anyone know for sure, but has McVay as a coach last season and this season, has he lost a road game yet?

Oh, nevermind. Just remembered we lost to the Vikes last year in Minnesota.

Anyway, Rams have overall been stellar on the road. Saints should be nervous...that's for sure!

Screens, quick slants and HOT routes will keep Goff clean.

What was the constant? Cooper kupp wasn't on the field.

Bill parcells and Kurt Warner used to say it plenty. They wanted the d to blitz. You beat the blitz, you can make a ton of yards. Goff must get into the same mindset and with kupp on the field he will beat the blitz.

11-1 on the road I believe

Kupp is an enormous boost to the offense, obviously. That will be compensated for a bit by the hostile environment, but I have to think the offense we've witnessed while he's been out is a thing of the past. They're going to be sharp on their blitz pickups and overall should have a really good day in the passing game. I don't think the Saints defense can keep us down offensively for an entire game, their secondary is going to struggle in locking down Woods & Kupp.

So things will largely be about how the defense shows against that New Orleans offense. And right at the top is Peters vs Thomas, whether he can have some damn eye discipline, because even though Brees isn't a big threat to beat you deep he is capable of it and they have a lot of film suggesting they should be taking shots. So they're gonna take some shots, and mash it in the run game.

We basically need a big game from our DL. Those guys need to dominate on the rush, and stay disciplined in their run fits. Again I think this is a really tough draw without Talib, given how up and down Hill is and with Peters struggling too. Don't like the matchup but hopeful the Rams step it up and get 'er done.

Get up early and keep the dome quiet.

These two things are related and if the DL knows they have to pass Brees will be stymied.

We’re overdue for one of those destroy-somebody games like we had last year....

LOL which one? There were a few.

EDIT. Nevermind I picked one for you!

I've been surprised, a little disappointed even, that McVay hasn't made teams pay for sending an extra guy or two by running a draw play and letting Gurley get big yards. It would only take one big run, two at the most, to change a DC's mind about blitzing.

Right. Our O can beat teams so many different ways because of the personnel (thanks to McVay and Snead). One thing that we have missed in the red zone this year (especially inside the 5), are those 1 v 1 slants that we threw to Sammy last year. (thats where he got most of his TDs). Id like to see us do that again.

Id say it was a touch more than Kupp not being on the field. I definitely agree that he was a big time miss, but when I personally step back and take a look at it, you still have good separating receivers in Cooks and Woods. The Packers defense was and still is ranked very high against the pass, which made it even easier for them to blitz more. The fact though is that our OLine struggled against it last week; period. It wasn't the same as Denver where you had two elite pass rushers on the outside and a good secondary, no, it was the fact that the Rams struggled against the blitz. The Packers played press coverage and sent more guys than we could block.
