CBS ranked him in their top 20 players and had an immediate starter/impact player grade
I am excited to see what he can bring as we advance through the season

I loved his tape - he has an array of moves, times his rush extremely well, is explosive and has long arms and great bend.

Wade is gonna be looking for help at edge, and for obvious reasons.

So, Obo will get his chances to impress. What he does with his opportunities is up to him.

Littleton might get snaps at edge, too.

Better QB pressure would go a long way toward helping our secondary and nobody knows that better than Wade. I doubt that much is off the table for his consideration these days.

I hope Obo, Ebu, Fowler, and Longacre can dominate the Seahags offensive line and make Russell flee for his life!

I've linked the following vid a few times here and on the draft board as part of the OLB thread before last year's draft. This game shows what kind of player he is, and yes he can get washed out from time to time, and no he's not an elite twitch athlete, but he is the type of guy who makes up a big portion of a winning roster. And note while he's best served on the edge he does some off ball stuff too.

Oh and btw... The time he missed hurts him not only because he's a rook and all, but also because he's not advanced in his hands/technique. Most of his rushes are pretty much all natural ability.

Watching some of his game film (not highlights) his effort has me concerned. He flashes with amazing speed on one play and than gets washed out the next 6. Doesn’t seem to have much interest in playing the run consistently. Almost seems like if he knows he’s not gonna have a chance at a sack he doesn’t go 100% and is a bit lazy in chasing down ball carriers ....haven’t watched him a ton but these are just some things that jumped out at me in the limited tape I did watch
Don't worry, Wade and McVay will fix that.

What I like most about that video, like you said about off ball stuff, is how he does his assignment. He keeps contain even if the play is breaking down in other ways, he stays in his zone, and he stays on his man if he has coverage responsibility. Looks like he is a smart player which is great for a 3-4 OLB even if he is expected to be a pass rusher mostly. Seems to get swallowed up too easily at times but definitely have high hopes for him long term.

Yeah and I think where the Rams got him he could end up being a steal. Because his rush is very raw so with better technique who knows what he can be down the road. But for now he is a good all around LB that will help us provided they get him up to speed in the scheme.

I just wonder what that part of the plan is. Simplified reads for him and Fowler maybe? Either way the goal needs to be getting both those guys solid in the calls so they can play fast.
