I get that. I totally understand where he'd be coming from. I get why he'd want Klare; he's an exceptionally talented tight end.

I just question the ultimate fit with Higbee signing a two-year-deal and Allen possibly coming cheap. It's why I think Parkinson could end up being dealt; we'd still have four exceptional tight ends, even losing Parkinson.

That's the reason why I see this pick being made.
Higbee has missed a lot of games lately. Could be a good mentor for all the young guys.

On a couple of very rare occasions, an NFL team
has kept 5TE's on their game day roster.

Okay I'm trying to find a silver lining here

Klare really is a talented tight end. Like @jrry32 stated, he works on his weaknesses (drops) and the technical aspects needed at tight end, he could be another Ertz.

I don't hate the pick or player. I don't understand the whole logistics of how it might work out (and there will likely be a trade), but I understand why McSnead liked him. Pairing him with Ferguson is something I'd look forward to in 2027.

I'm a fan of "the General" Davis Allen. Solid player who stepped it up last year. Barring a trade, seems like he will be cut and some other team will be happy to have him.

I really hated the Brycen Hopkins pick. I don't hate this pick for the same reasons I hated the Hopkins pick (Hopkins was soft and not physical; Klare clearly worked on his blocking at Ohio State.). Hopkins was force-fed at Purdue; Klare didn't have many receptions at Ohio State.

I don't hate the player; I just don't see the need when we already have a group of four tight ends. Yes, Davis and Parkinson are free agents at the end of the year, but Higbee just signed a two-year deal, you still have Ferguson, and Davis could easily come cheap.
Hey!, there was no need for another DT on the Horns when AD99 was drafted. How did that redundant pick turn out?

Moral: we can always upgrade and trade away our excess baggage.

Soooo, if we take Sadiq- no problem in the world.

We take Klare, and its-OMG, 5 TIGHT ENDS!!!!

Okay, got it......

Exact opposite for me. I didn't like the possibility of a Sadiq selection at #13; he's an athlete playing tight end, was force-fed at Oregon this year - with an excellent quarterback and O-line, no less - and still didn't take advantage.

Klare was arguably TE#1 (with Sadiq being so sushi raw and Stowers being more of a big receiver) in this class, and the area made sense for him to go into. I could see a future where he's another Ertz or even a Kelce-lite.

I don't understand the logistics, but I could see a trade done to force the matter, whether it's Allen or Parkinson.

AD was a far different animal. Pass-rushing DT when none of our other DTs were pass-rushers.

We're adding to an already strong TE group with Klare. As I've said, I understand the pick and why it was made. I simply don't see the logistics...yet.
