I'd put in Blanton over Mundt, Lawler over Carraway, and Travin Howard over Marqui Christian, but otherwise, it looks solid.

That's what I was thinking.

He's been floating around the league and I figured he was just a camp body.

Lawler seems to have potential.
I agree with both of you on Lawler. I gave the kid no chance of making the team and He made me eat crow. The little snaps he got on defense he made plays. Hope to see him get some playing time this preseason.

I just don’t think both of these make it. Henderson will most likely take over kickoff returns. And let’s not forget Michael Thomas is a favorite of coach Bones, and he would love to have him back on special teams as a gunner, as Bones said he was the best gunner he’d ever seen.

I see a great number of negatives in looking heavy at WR Michael Thomas to be counted on to make the Rams master roster in his final 4th year of his contract.

His 2018 season ended early again (IR) after battleing Hip & Groin injuries from mimi camp in June to September. Thomas was suspended the first four games of 2017 for violating the league’s policy on performance-enhancing drugs. My list of negatives from this point on gets rather long......

Yeah but they still brought him back. Usually by now with all those negatives going against him if they weren’t planning on him at least having a decent chance of making the team they would have already let him go. But since they haven’t maybe Bones is in McVay’s ear on this one.

As regards Michael Thomas making the roster, I think it may come down to at least a couple of preseason games to determine whether or not he is expendable due to our infusion of new draftees & FA’s. Right now my quess is 50/50. We’ll see ..

I don’t think Natson can successfully challenge any of our receivers. I see him as mostly a one trick pony. He was fun to watch, but as “Dang” said, “by the end of the season he was making me nervous” I would say ditto to that. Nick Scott will likely have some opportunities in preseason, at both gunner & as a returner.

Henderson will possibly get a look too. That said, I’d prefer to preserve him as a rb than play him as a returner too. We may end up needing Darrell badly at some point this year. If he is lights out in preseason as a return guy who knows? Still – I hope we have enough depth to find someone else. As a rookie Darrell will have to learn McVay’s offense – I’d prefer he stay focused on that. Should he suddenly be called upon to carry a huge load during this season he’ll need to learn the playbook asap. I’d be happy if all his reps are as a running back and/or receiver for now.
