Very few football games have made me truly happy, this game definitely did.

I was 13 years old in 1999, but my dad has been a fan since the 60s, and while I am sure he would say winning the Super Bowl was better, I don't recall seeing as much as pure joy after a win on his face as I did after this game, Super Bowls included

Talked before on this site and the old one about how this was the greatest game atmosphere I have been in for a live game. Sat behind endzone where Bruce caught his 3 TDs. Lost my voice for days after this game. The Landing in the Lou was an absolute party that afternoon/evening. Definitely a day I wish I could relive. I took pictures that day too and I don't know where those ended up at. Will have to see if I can dig those up sometime.

I couldn’t get game tickets… me and about 10 others were outside the TWA Dome in a tailgate parking lot. We had a TV in the back of a covered pickup bed. Watched the whole game from the parking lot.

I will never forget the atmosphere as fans left the stadium at the end. We were liquored up from tailgating all game and tossed footballs to fans leaving whooping it up playing catch with other fans like that.

You knew after that game we were good… it was a matter of figuring out how good we could be!

It was during and after watching this game that I began to believe in that team and it's chances to win it all.
Same for me. It wasn't the team so much as it was Warner. QB from nowhere playing like a all pro ????
I knew our team was solid and could be a really good ,but at the time I didn't think we had anybody
even close to Trent Green. I thought we had missed an opportunity to make a playoff run.

But then came Mr. Warner he looked pretty good first 3 games, but I still wasn't convinced.
However Watching the 9er's game, watching him shred the 9er's defense for over 300yds and
throwing five td's. That game made me a believer.

Aside from just winning , the biggest joy for me and I'm sure for many others, watching Issac catch 4td's
during the crushing of the 9er's. This was a team who in his entire career he had never beaten.
Oh how sweet it must have been, for him !! Justice for a man who couln't be more deserving!!
To this day The Rev Ike remains my favorite Ram of all time. Can't give you a reason why, just is

My favorite part about watching that game live was after his 3rd TD they put him up on the screen at the Dome. He was sitting on the bench and noticeably overcome with emotion. The entire dome started chanting "Bruuuuuuuuce". Still gives me chills thinking about it.

During that 99 regular season we beat the Niners pretty good. After that beat down Bill Walsh told his old pal Dick Vermeil that we were going to win it all. We did.
