Wasn't the OP the same guy that initiated the " Carolina Will Beat the Seahawks" thread?

I agree ... however,

Yes I was. I was thinking a little bit with my heart and I thought Carolina and Bryce Young would play like they did against the Rams but they reverted back to how they looked against the Niners and to be honest Seattle didn’t set the world on fire against Carolina. It was a 3-3 game at halftime and two turnovers gifted the Seahawks 14 points in the pivotal 3rd quarter in a 27-10 final. So yeah I wrote that optimistic prediction.

Sorry azz thread. Life support? Rams have been in every game, and should have 3 more wins if they had gotten fair officiating. I could point out fked up calls in every Rams loss that should have been a win for them. Dedich being called for illeagle man downfield, blatant PI on TuTu, giving peacocks 2 pt's after the play was whistled dead. I could go on.
Rams get Lake, KDot, Ajax, Adam's back and it's gonna take more fked up officiating to get the Rams out of this tourney.

I absolutely love my Rams and want a Superbowl victory. But he's correct. Our Rams are on playoff and Superbowl life support. Let's not pretend anymore. The following two statements have been said way to many times:

"We can beat any team, I'm not afraid."
"We learned from our mistakes during this last game."

I agree that the regular season is in the rear view mirrors but if there isn’t improvement in all three phases of the game along with better effort, consistency and determination the postseason will be a short one. If the Rams defense that has shown up this past two weeks especially doesn’t improve they could easily be dispatched by whoever they face in the first round. This team has a chip and a chair but it hasn’t played like a contender for the past 5 weeks outside of the AZ offensive blowout. Regular season records get thrown out once you’re in the playoffs but Rams have lost 3 of their last 5 games and their only victories in that stretch were against a completely defenseless Lions team that has lost 4 of 5 and 3 straight games and a Cardinals team that will have lost 7 or 8 straight games pending the outcome of Sunday’s game. Regular season tells you who you are. Postseason is win or go home and the Rams stumble down the stretch has made it a monumental challenge.
IMO this is vastly overstated. I'm not seeing a monumental challenge.

You called the Lions team defenseless apparently in a nod to their injuries, but you failed to mention our substantial injuries.

Lake, Adams, AJ, Dotson, etc.

That's four critical players that all contributed to us losing games over the last several weeks. Fortunately, they're all coming back for the playoffs.

Fully healthy, these playoffs will be as much of a challenge as any playoffs are. Which is to say that they must be on their game like all playoff teams because win or go home is always challenging.

I’m actually almost 100% a positive poster.
Hey @Cjcinec, hope you take any criticism headed your way with a grain of salt. Sounds like you've had 60 years of fandom and tons of mostly positive posts.

I'd agree with others that "life support" wasn't a great choice of words-- simply because the Rams still have a TON of fight left in them. But we know what you meant, even if that particular phrase was misinterpreted.

Bottom line-- just about all of us agree that the Rams season could end in shattering disappointment or a blaze of glory. It's been one hell of a crazy and exciting season.

One thing I'm looking forward to is I'm confident the Rams are gonna lay it ALL on the line in the playoffs. Granted they came out unfocused against ATL. And frankly they might be flat against AZ because their main job is to stay healthy.

But I trust McVay to have this team FIRED UP for the playoffs.

Rams are super-talented, McVay is a brilliant coach, and it's still the Golden Age of being a Rams fan. The playoffs are gonna cause us ALL to have our heart rates go freaking bananas.

But we wouldn't want it any other way....

:)

Personally, I found both of these threads pretty hilarious. I guess when the optimism failed CJ crashed hard! I don’t see too many teams, if any, as good as ours.

I fear the officials, turnovers, and a special teams failure in that order. The rest? It’s all gravy

The blame game is prevalent in losing organizations. Rams are better than that. You execute your game plan and there’s no need for excuses

Totally agree with you. I’m not sensitive to criticism. When they label me as anything more than a DIEHARD RAMS FAN. They are misinformed. They can disagree with the title or some of my points but it’s easier to just dismiss my post because outside of blaming injuries which is a factor for all teams and blaming the officiating which is usually in my opinion something that a championship caliber team would do there’s really no dispute that things have to improve if we want a deep run in the playoffs. The 2021 team experienced a No win November but caught fire in the playoffs and won it all. Here’s to hoping that the 2025 version does the same.

I agree. Every game we had a chance to win on the last possession. The offense could not get it done against Carolina and the Niners and the defense could not get a stop against Atlanta and Seattle. Special teams blunder cost us the game in Philadelphia. Don’t get second chances in the playoffs so they need to play at MAX Q In all phases if they want to get another Lombardi this season.
Last time I looked, no one gets a second chance in the playoffs. Quentin Lake will be back playing the STAR and Dotson and Alaric will be back at LT. Most importantly, Adams will be back and healthy.
I pity the fools that have to play the Rams!

Baltimore, Tampa, Detroit, Indy are teams that come to mind in terms of life support and playoff expectations.

The Post Dispatch was unbearable at times.
What we have now is a Ramily!
We are all passionate fans. We all will disagree on some points. But in the end we all have the same goal/dream...
TO WIN THE SUPERBOWL!!
Hang in there guys & enjoy these next few games!
It will happen!
Appreciate ALL your post even if I don't agree with them, I still respect them. That my friends is something we never had with the PD.

I like our chances if DAdams, Dotson, AJax, Corum, Lake, Higs and Hav can all come back and positively contribute. Our CBs suck and we don’t have a WR3 but we have a lot of quality on the roster. I’m a hopeless Rams optimist but I knew there would be a period of “buckle up/knuckle up” this year. That time is now. The fact the Rams could have/ would have won every single game this year gives me hope. The fact they can’t seem to close consistently gives me pause. But as a long time Rams fan I’m ecstatic to be in the hunt.

I know being a wild card makes the road more difficult for the Rams to get the Lombardi. Sucks that Drake Maye will probably get the MVP with one of the easiest schedules in the NFL while Stafford had one of the toughest.

That said, I cheer for the Hags to win this week. I understand the Rams will play starters so assuming be beat the cards and the Hags win, the Rams will be the #5 seed. That could become significant.

That would mean the Rams play the Panthers or Bucs on the road which is winnable if the Rams don't stumble and give the game away.

The whiners would be at Philly and the packers at the Bears.

If this happens, it's possible that some wild card teams come away with wins, which makes it possible for the Rams to host the NFCCG, provided they win 2 playoff games, which is very possible is Stafford is on his game. The Rams will go as far as Stafford's arm takes us, unless the defense suddenly becomes the 85 bears or 2000 ravens. which is also possible.

Oh stop it.
If you don't think McVay has been saving something for the playoffs with all his players back I have a bridge to sell you.
Game plans have been kinda bland late you know.
Why ever start some negative thread right at the seasons end when we are going to the playoffs. ?
