There was a time when people thought Daniels was a day 2 pick. But he fell all the down to the 6th round. Rams obviously had their eyes on him and did not want to risk missing out on him. So they gave up a couple more picks to secure him.

Everything I read and hear about him says he has very good hands. Not as much a deep threat but can make the tough catches to move the chains. So far Puka, Adams, Whittington, Mumpfield and Daniels look like very good to decent intermediate threats. I still think Puka is the best receiver in the league with all the different things he can do.

So do they need a legit deep threat? Can Xavier Smith fill that role? He had his moments catching passes down field. I know some are soured on him for that fumble in the NFCCG. But that is over and done. Time to get over it. He's been decent return guy before that. I think they have him in their back pocket as the return guy. If they do better then great. If not, he'll be fine.

That's Exactly how I would want a late-round-pick or undrafted free agent to react.

Some physical talent but also some limitations ... but the game (and maximizing the talent and opportunity) means So Very Much that the effort and coachability should be off-the-charts.

Really Hoping Daniels can contribute in 2026 because I think the Rams need a legit option behind Nacua and Adams, simply because I do not see both those two studs playing an entire season ... Really Hope I am wrong.

If he balls out?? he has an incredible opportunity. Like other posters said, he's just gotta beat out X, Mumps & Whitt.

This - why I wanted a WR in the first 3 rounds.

Nobody will give the Eagles a first round pick in the 2027 draft. So they'll probably end up dealing him for a two. And from that perspective it's hard to imagine the Rams getting him, or any bottom round type team for that matter.

On top of that why would the Eagles give McVay a legit X option for his offense. They've got a good chance to run into us in the playoffs.

I think we will be open to trading that first rounder. Teams will see it as even more valuable.

But AJ probably doesn't make sense for us - Puka will get more targets to the rest of the Eagles did combined so I can't imagine he'd be happy here.

The offense was totally fine even when Puka or Davante were out. Klare helps to provide some depth from an overall receiving weapon standpoint too if we need some more juice on the field.

I keep seeing people saying a third WR helps us get past Seattle, but that is silly - our offense destroyed that defense. McDuffie is what will get us past Seattle.

Plus its been noted before that even though Kyren was "doubled" on that 4th down, he still got open. Third receiver just wasn't as big a need for this year as people are making it out to be.

Plus Whittington, Smith and Mumpfield all did some good things last year and should all get better. Daniels brings a true four man competition for that spot now.

Not wanting to trade for Brown does not mean I think we won't be open to moving the top pick for 2027. I simply have no desire to help a primary rival by overpaying for a wideout they want to move.

I can't see it unless there was a serious injury, but I do think that first round pick is as good as gone. The Simpson pick opens the door for that and it'll be fascinating to see all these idiots in the media backtracking on their 'opportunity cost' comments.

I hope they don't trade it.

This team really shouldn't need an All-Star team to win a Championship.

Me too. My preference was Makai Lemon but Snead and McVay never take my calls.

I try to not get too wrapped-up in it; and hope for the best.
I can go back really far, including the Shaw / Zygmunt decades ... Damn, I hated those Fuckers!

Personally, I would not trade Sean McVay for any other current Head Coach, and I view Snead as a top-5 GM. Add in a Front Office (Demoff and Pastoors) and Owner (Kroenke) that allow football people to make the football decisions, and I am both happy and Very Very Grateful.

Now I don't always agree with their decisions but ... SHOCKINGLY!!! ... they are more often right than me!

Agreed. Elite defense should be enough. And we may have that now, assuming our new corners live up to expectations which I think is likely.

And health at key positions overall. Which is always required to some extent.

I actually would not be surprised to see Ferg get moved around a bunch to be that 3rd option. Hes got the size to box out DBs, the speed and routes to separate from line backers…

He could be WR3….in a sense

Oh I agree 100% with you.

I just feel they are wrong in this specific situation just like I thought they were wrong to give Tutu $10M last year.

But again that is just speculation on my part and I hope to god that I am wrong on this situation.

I just want a really good 3rd WR for this year. Makes our offense completely explosive.

However, we lost against Seattle because of our CB situation.

Im thinkin Stefon Diggs or Keenan Allen, or Brandin Cooks. (OBJ?) If it's the Free Agent Route.

Would rather trade '27 currency for a 2 and make Adams a 3 though.

I would have traded next years two to move up for Bernard and aquire a pick in the top half of round four but it is what it is. Bernard came off the board right where I said he would too!

That said, I’m excited by the three way competition between Whittingdon, Daniels and Mumfield as well as some of our UDFAs from last year
